What Exactly Do You Do With Email List?

Ok. So I have progressed far into my blog/site that I realize now that I need to keep in constant contact with the people who are interested in my niche.

I will be providing a free ebook (an excellent well written book) that I was going to charge for but now I'm going to offer for free to build my readership.

So my question really is, what exactly do you do when you build an email list? Do you send them an email when you have a new post or something?

What is it? How do I manage an email list for my blog? I want to be in constant communication with them so they keep coming back to my site...

THANK YOU WARRIORS!!

Email your list whenever you release new content. Do it consistently to build relationships with your subscribers. When you're ready to make some money from your list you can promote your own products or products you're affiliated with.

You can have auto-mail settings that will post out every new blog entry, sure! And you should regularly email your list with valuable information and content that will assist and inform them. The short answer is that you really need to build a relationship with your subscribers through your email contacting.

Why not actually ask them, in an email, how you can best help them? Be accessible and eager to assist. Some marketers recommend that you treat your list as though they were your inner circle of close friends. Be relatable and friendly, warm and sincere.

If people like your communicating style they will look forward to opening and reading your messages. Promote appropriate products in your mailings, if you have established a good relationship, people will be more inclined to trust you and purchase from you. Whether that be through your email links or from your blog itself.

If you want people to return to your site you can email an interesting and informative message that really holds their attention. But don't give away the whole picture and end by saying 'If you want to find out more, visit my website for the full, exciting story!' and provide a live clickable link to your site. Best of luck to you Mguy!

For me, the important thing to remember is that you really do need to build a relationship with your subs.

The reason I can say that is because some marketers who I've really admired in the past, who have stressed to me the importance of relationship building, have then gone on to just churn out offer after offer with very little else in their emails. Result: whatever relationship was there quickly dissolves.

But with one or two of the lists I'm on, the list owner's style is sufficiently different that I do believe they have built a relationship - with me anyway. I value these emails, even look forward to them, because I know that not only are they interesting, but also entertaining and usually they also contain some good stuff too.

Value + personal style = good relationship

      I hope this helps

I agree that you should keep your subs informed of all your new activity but please keep it interesting and change up your sub topics often. Nothing gets people to unsubscribe from your list faster than being bombarded with email after email of similar content.

    Whatever has value pretty much.

If you feel you're posting something out to them just so you can keep them engaged then you're going about it wrong.

Basically, your list is like a big group of friends you send awesome stuff too. I send my monthly income reports and the posts that I think are really valuable to my list. So far no ones complained so I'm assuming I'm doing it right! lol
