Squeeze Page Questions

hi Warriors..
I'm trying to figure out the correct procedure to sell my ebooks via email marketing. Here's what I've come up with:

1. setup my squeeze page with free pdf giveaway
(redirect to thank you page with pdf download, then what, should I redirect them again to my AMAZON book link, or wait and follow up with autoresponder series?)

2. setup my autoresponder series
(how many follow ups should i send out? And I'm assuming these follow ups should be sales pitches with my Amazon book link, correct?)

3. setup analytics
(google analytics, leadpages analytics or both?)

4. drive traffic to squeeze page
(email list swaps, solo ads, paid traffic..?)

Am I missing anything?

...

Also, should my squeeze page be hosted on my own server or on leadpages' server, which works better?

If I go the "my own server" route, should I get a professional to upload the squeeze page to my server or is it easy and basic enough for me (almost zero know-how) to do it via FileZilla?

Basically, I'd like to automate the process as much as possible and only have my 1 page website (squeeze page that's it).

Any help/tips are greatly appreciated..

thank you

Hey, thanks for the questions. You're on the right track. Here are some suggestions to your questions.
1.) Rather than redirect from you PDF thank-you page again, simply include the link right there to your book link. You don't want to lose them at this stage, so that's the place for the upsell.
2.) Autoresponder series should be at least 30 days in duration. And yes, you want to promote your book link but consider offering some additional free content mixed with other offers (in addition to your book link). Look into the affiliate program on Warrior Plus and JVZoo, find some related products, and promote for them. Variety is good.
3.) All the analytics you'll have time to go through.
4.) Traffic - if you have a decent sized list, email swap is an option. Solo ads can convert very well also. And as you're a righter, do some blog commenting on related sites to drive targeted traffic.

I'd suggest you host the squeeze page on your own server. More consistent that way. And it's not hard - any answers are a google search or youtube video away.

    Hope this helps.

    1) You can either redirect them to your Thank-You-Page with the pdf download (maybe put an ad in that site too), or you can redirect them directly to a affiliate offer. Personally I redirect them directly to my affiliate offer. After they have submitted they get an instant follow-up email with the download link to the freebie.

    2) "The money is in the relationship with your list" - don't just blast offer after offer out to your list. They will unsubscribe pretty fast, and not generate any sales. Instead use your time to send something with great value to your list. Not every email has to be a promotional one. Give them some good content, videos, webinars etc.

    3) I guess Google Analytics is the most used..

    4) If you have the budget, I would recommend solo-ads. But remember, traffic is just fuel to the airplane. If the airplane can't fly, it doesn't matter how much fuel you use.

    - Go to youtube and search for "how to upload squeeze page with Filezilla" - and you will find a ton of guides.

    Good luck :-)

I know most marketers don't think like that but I would redirect your new subscriber after the thank you page or you can do it also on the thank you page to a site with information about you (video works best for this part). This way you can brand yourself and built a relationship right away. You can also tell them what they can expect from your newsletter and yes of course you can tell them about your project like your book! Bang!

You still can give them now a link to your book after you warmed them up!

thank you Warriors.. great answers, really appreciate it..

You guys were so good, I have another 2 questions for you :

Since my ebook will be translated in 12 languages, I guess I should have 12 squeeze pages, each squeeze page in its own language.. the question is this:

Is there anything I MUST DO on my end to make sure the correct squeeze page is triggered accordingly to the location/language of the visitor? Meaning, I wouldn't want the UK visitor landing on the Japanese squeeze page? Or is the whole process automatic according to the visitor's location settings on his computer?

    Hi,

None of that is really important until you realize that driving targeted
to that offer will make your sales funnel work at it's maximum rate.

If you are just nudging people and asking them if they would like your
offer then your results will suffer.

But if you are targeting others who already have needs that match your
offer then your results will be more than effective enough.

It all starts with asking what people's want's and needs are and then
    providing for those needs/wants.

Consider branding yourself if you are an ebook writer. Start a blog, youtube channel, facebook, twitter etc utilize free traffic and a way to engage your audience. This is wht you shouldve done beforehand. Once you have a loyal follwer and they know how to reach you personally, you have them forever and its like having an ATM machine. Your subscribers that love you will be hungry for the next product or ebook you release because of your relation to them.
