Are there any PROFESSIONAL services that secure wordpress websites?!

...and by "professional" I mean not just some random IM-er who will install a couple of plugins for 50 bucks....

Here's the deal: I need (and am willing to pay professional prices for) a professional service that will secure a wordpress website (hosted on WiredTree's managed VPS) against hackers/malicious code/etc.

Does such a service exist?

The site will be using Optimizepress as a front-end and will be for a sales video page and a few opt-in pages as well as the usual ToS, Contact, and Disclaimer pages... and I need it SECURE (I know nothing is 100% secure ever but as secure as can be).

So, does anyone have any recommendations?

Hey - would suggest looking into a premium CDN. Many offer just what you're looking for if you're willing to pay the upgrade. Bonus is their primary function is to speed up your site, but many have added this feature as well. And competition in their industry is fierce so prices are fairly reasonable.

My understanding of CDN services is that they are primarily used for faster content delivery and securing downloads... whereas I'm looking to secure a site itself, not any downloads.

Am I misunderstanding something or do CDN services somehow also offer a more secure website platform than those hosted on traditional VPS's?

By itself wordpress is pretty secure, if installed correctly. Make sure you use strong passwords. Plugin like "Hide My WP" can really help, google it.

Your VPS will need to be checked too. Hosting company can help you with that if you are on a budget you mentioned.

No, it's not. Not even close.

Again, I'm looking for more than a plugin; I'm looking for an actual professional service that secures wordpress by patching the most common exploits and taking any and all possible preventative measures against hackers/malicious code/etc.

I didn't say I was on a budget and I'm really not. This is the kind of thing I'd spend hundreds or even thousands on.

I just need to know if this type of professional service exists. Thanks though.

I've heard of this site, not sure how good it is though: Sucuri Security

It does sound to me that you might need a strong security set up (firewall, etc.) and also security monitoring which that site provides. I'm sure there are others out there who also provide such service of notifying you when something suspicious comes up.

I've been using Login-Security-Solution which is a free plugin that has worked flawlessly since the first day.

Whenever there is a brute force attempt on my site, it takes care of it and sends me the following notice....

Your website, Social Media Management, is undergoing a brute force attack.

There have been at least 10 failed attempts to log in during the past 120 minutes that used one or more of the following components:

Component Count Value from Current Attempt
    ------------------------ ----- --------------------------------
    Network IP 10 95.78.65
    Username 10 admin
    Password MD5 1 63021e2598894c74f2778664ecb72683

The Login Security Solution plugin (0.42.0) for WordPress is repelling the attack by making their login failures take a very long time. This attacker will also be denied access in the event they stumble upon valid credentials.
