Send email(username)/Pw VS Let customer choose username/pw after purchase?

Hey Warriors,

I am debating which membership software to use...

The two I am down to have 1 big difference...

- 1 automatically sends the customer an email with their username/unique pw (Digital Access Pass does this)

- And the other sends them to a registration page after their purchase that lets them type in whatever username/pw they want. (wishlist does this)

Which is better? Which results in less refunds because they don't know how to log in ...and which results in less questions asking "What's my PW?" "Where's the product I just purchased",etc.

Thanks
#choose #customer #emailusername or pw #purchase #send #username or pw

I use Nanacast and I've never experienced any problems or refunds with emailed (non-chosen) passwords. I don't think it's a very big deal.

I've always had the login details sent straight to the customer. My membership script (DAP) simply uses their email address as the username and creates them a password. never had any issues with this at all. I think using their email address as the username makes the most sense.

If that is what your basing your choice on then DON'T. Base it overall, that is a minor detail and one that can be fix by paying a coder a 100 bucks if you have too.
