I think you are doing fine when you follow around 500 people per day.

Since I've joined Twitter I've notice people with multiple accounts that only post links to CB products and nothing else. They have not been suspended...yet. Look up kkeira and you'll find he has over 10 accounts which all have over 2000 followers each. Just search on his shortened URL's and you'll get all his ID's. Most posts are for CB products.

I also notice lots of people who post that have avatars that suggest that they are promoting porn sites and they have not been suspended.

I've used FeedmyTwitter for the last month or so and on average have been getting 50 to 100 followers a day. For this I post about 20 motivational quotes to 2 or 3 posts with links in them. With FMT you can autopost every 2 minutes to 1 a day. Every 2 minutes is excessive so set it for every 10, 15 or 20 minutes.

I was getting about 30-90 followers aday when I had my wp blog set with wp o matic however Since it really was not getting me many conversions I stopped and started participating in the hot trends like the recent michael jackson trend. I simply built a post on my blog which one of my plugins is tweet my blog so the post got tweeted. I then personally go to the post and use onlywire to submit to social sites which also tweets it. I then log in to pyrabang and create my free ad with say 3000 impressions across the network. Once my ad is complete I will once again use only wire to add it to the social sites from the pyrabang ad. After it is submitted and bookmarked I then create a powerlink through pyrabang. In a new window I take that powerlink and view it. I then submit to only wire once again viewing from the power link. Now i head over to twitter with the power link and join the discussion on the hot trend. placing the powerlink ever 4th or fifth post.

Just from doing this alone and nothing else for each post I create on my blog. I get about 100 instant backlinks from the social sites. Also since twitter is one of the submissions it makes. The page got twitted about 10 to fifteen times from the start before I even joined the descussion. Since pyrabang is also a type of cloaking service i am able to cloak my links with it. So i can create a clickbank power ad post on my blog. With only about 1 hours worth of work. I created about 100 backlinks to my post and drove anywhere from 100-400 visitors in that hours worth of work. Since it was a hot trend you will find people will scroll through that list even days latter and still be clicking on your links. It is great for adsense if you are looking for the quick 1000 views to your post. It does not convert very well on the clickers end. However just building the instant traffic this way every day increases your alexa ranking and other rankings.

Tweet. Say interesting things. Don't put a URL in everything you tweet. Don't mass-unfollow people to make room in your follow list. Don't add all the followers you can every day. Don't add people out of a desire to be followed back.

I use Twollo with well-selected keywords. Some of them unfollow. I have 450 followers right now, and I've been on Twitter exactly one month tomorrow - so I get an average of 15 followers a day. I'm not so interested in a big number on followers; I'm more interested in getting people who actually care what I'm saying following me.

That said, I still bounce up and down whenever I cross a 100-follower boundary.
