Making online money in 5 months, suggestions?

Fellow Warriors,

I have 5 months until I return to study again. However, I'd love to stop with that and make my living online. Maybe it won't work, but I want to know I've tried!

I will have 3-5 hours a day to spend on the project. I have experience with creating (a simple) website(s) and writing. There are two things I feel I'm capable of making money with:

- Blogging in certain niches that have money in them (I have knowledge on these subjects, and with some study, enough to create products)
- Writing fiction books

I have no product finished yet, so I think the fiction bookw won't work because it'll take the longest to write.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas on this. What things would you suggest me to do, in order to start making money in 5 months. I'm not talking about 1000 a month, but at least 500 so I have something to work from.

Cheers!
FingerPicker

    Certainly go for blogging then.
As you said you have knowledge in certain niches, then surely you will be able to make money out of them.
Since you have only few months, its better you try and focus on stuff you already know (blogging) rather than trying something new whih you would need to learn from scratch.

      Hi,

You say you are confident at writing, so i suggest articles, blogging, guest blogging, press releases, then turn the content into branded PDF's, mp3's and videos.

Build a squeeze page, give a great free offer (report, video, mp3) for their name and email, once someone opts in, redirect to an OTO (one time offer). Build your list while earning on the front end.

Test and tweek that squeeze page, once you have some cash, pay for the traffic, then scale.

      Good Luck

    Hi,

3-5 hours is plenty of time.

It's HOW PRODUCTIVE YOU ARE within those hours that count.

Many of my students produce far greater in terms of getting things done
once they have a plan that is do-able for them on a daily basis.

    You could...

    1) Try to become an expert in your chosen niche.

    2) Create DAILY content that allows you to become the GO TO expert.

    3) Direct your traffic to an offer that is related to what you're teaching.

    4) Add those leads to an email list.

    5) Ask your leads what they WANT!

    6) Give them what they want & then CHARGE THEM for doing just that.

    Hope this helps ya!

Thanks for your tips! Great advice that it is not only the hours but also the productivity that comes into play. I will keep in mind that I will have to stay focussed on what is important and do it!

5 months is a pretty short time frame. you could get to your goal but with only 3-5 hours a day, it may prove to be a little difficult. For this time frame, you would need some seed money for some paid advertising

Thanks for your perspective. You say difficult, but not impossible. I will work hard and see if I made some during that time frame. I at least should have a decent blog going by then :-)

Anymore input is always welcome :-)

Like gcbmark20 says you have to be laser focused! Set goals and deadlines and work on them. I would also suggest to put your effort in blogging + guest posts to drive traffic.

If you wanna go with free traffic have try video marketing. It's a bit scary at the beginning but after the first videos you'll get the drive.

You can actually earn even faster then in 5 months. I earned $2535 in 3 months by generating an image blog and attracting traffic from Pinterest. In my ebook I explained exactly how I did it. If you are interested, PM me.

But there are other methods too. Choose you niche, be specific and create a niche authority site. If you will publish great content, Google will notice and rank you to the top. When you get traffic, you start to monetize it! Is seems simple, but there is a learning curve (3 years for me

@Marco Thanks I will actually try out video marketing! :-) Do you think using a video with text and me speaking will work good as well?

@Project Awesome to learn that you earned that much in 3 months and also good to know that it took you some time before you got it down. Makes me know what I'm up for! I've sent you a PM

Hi FP! Do what you love doing and remove the deadline. You will likely rush, and scare off success, when you set up the 5 month time frame. Fall in love with what you do, then you'll squeeze in 2-3 hours worth of online money making work daily, during your studies.

    All the best!

      Hi Ryan,

That's good advice, just loving what you do (while doing it professionally) and not focusing on the money in a short time frame.

An on-call web developer to fix a website’s problem, upgrade or develop extra features, and just be a website’s resident web developer. This can be a lucrative job if you have the skills already.

For this you should have a good knowledge of how web hosting works.
PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript – seriously, if you want to become a web developer you should know these four at least on a basic level.

$500/mo. residually over the course of 5 months is well past do-able.

Blogging daily centered around the right buyer keywords for 5 months can realistically bring you close to 6 figures.

I watched a friend of mine start a blog form zero and turn it into 8,500/mo. in 6 months and as I've been blogging daily I've been seeing my traffic jump up drastically.

If you're good at writing, then you can start list building in the IM niche.
If you find a great guide about list building, you can learn the stuff in a month. You need to spend some money first ($500-$1000), and then you have to create your funnel (40-50 hours), but after these initial steps you need to work only 2-3 hours a day. Being good at creative writing is a HUGE advantage in this niche.
