ClickBank....How Many Unique Visitors Before Some Nice Person Clicks the Buy Now Button??

Hi Guys,

I know this is not easy to give a specific answer to, but... I know it depends on the offer and how related the offer is the the visitors keyword search term etc, but assuming i have done some decent keyword research and have managed to get fairly targeted visitors to the direct clickbank offer page, what sort of conversion rate should i be targeting?

At the minute i am getting visitors direct to the clickbank offer....so its not my bad copy, but they dont click the buy now button!

Any ideas or comments would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Paul

If you presell the product really well on your landing page and have targetted traffic then you should get anything between 1-5% conversion rate (some products convert as well as 20% but that's rare).

Don't take this as gospel, but I once heard (I think from Ed Dale in the 30 day challenge??) that even the crappiest sales page should get 1 sale out of every 200 visitors.

It's really hard to tell. And I know you probably don't want to here this but the only way to be certain is to test it for yourself. Only give up on the product after you have gotten AT LEAST 500 hops without a sale.

      Thanks guys,

The sales page and copy i am reffering to is the actual CB offer page. I am promoting a few of the more porpular CB offers with decent gravity so you would tend to think the Copy should be of decent standard.

I am only targeting the slightly higher than average gravity products, so they must be converting somewhere.....

Cheers, and thanks for your comments

You would think that, if the traffic is targeted that you show at least convert that much (1 in 200). I've seen some horrible sales pages from people that I know are getting some decent conversions. I would think that competition and saturation in the niche would affect that, but that would go back to how strong the sales page is.
