Is it possible to successfully JV with someone for the purposes of email marketing!? (not solos)

WTF? do I hear you say?
The scenario is that I use another marketer's proven high-converting squeeze page to capture leads from my generated traffic. In exchange, they (with their expert marketing/copywriting skills) put my affiliate links inside their prewritten, well-tested email templates, that are sent to the list I have grown. And yes, some of the affiliate products are owned by them, so they get the extra sales, hopefully.

This is not a new model of marketing of course, but is it one that others have achieved success with? Learning and implementing all required marketing skills at a highly polished level can be difficult. JV'ing can cut down the workload, and improve overall sales results. Your thoughts?

JVs work best when both partners bring unique skill sets to the table. So if your partner has a squeeze page that converts well, and you have built a solid list to send to that page, why wouldn't you? Of course you should go for it!
As you said, partnering can cut down on the work load. But when each partner is expert in his or her area, it can also bring synergy and far greater results. Do it up!

What you do is called affiliate marketing and not Joint Venture.

It's better than doing nothing but not recommended for the long run. You are building somebody else's list.

It would be much smarter to build your own list instead and then send you can also send traffic to that "marketer's proven high-converting squeeze page".

But now you own the leads and you can make way more out of them in the future.

I'll let you in on a little secret, I actually do both at the same time. The expert, world-renowned, New York Times best-selling marketer sends his expert emails to my built up list. Those same leads, well many of them, are also captured on my own personal list that I use to market to from my own individual angle. Twice the mileage, twice the results!

    David,

Answer me this.. via PM if you feel like doing here would be redundant.

I want to make sure I understand you correctly. Here's the process I believe you're describing..

    1. YOU see a squeeze page that you believe is converting.
    2. YOU then contact the person who OWNS said page and pitch them with
    H

    "hey Ben,

Love your page. I own X amount of traffic and can send you X clicks each .

As these people are going to YOUR PAGE, and opting into YOUR list.... YOU get the leads.

All I ask in return is that MY AFFILIATE links appear in the follow up sequence sent to those leads I've generated.

    What say you?

    Best,

    Dave Baybroome.
    3. YOU then send traffic (should they agree) to their squeeze
    4. THEY build a list
    5. YOU get a LIFE TIME commish on any sale resulting from any lead you've sent them.

(NOTE; Lifetime meaning that any sale made generates a commission, as long as that person stays in the funnel.

    Is that right?

Okay.... I apologize in advance for the typos I'm sure are within my post. Please see past that - I am on this forum with my IPHONE.

I am beyond frustrated with the auto correct (being incorrect), the small touch keyboard and how my phone interacts with this forums "edit" function.

Therefore, I am opting to not edit typos as opposed to attempting to do so, only to wind up throwing this iPhone into traffic.

My AT&T plan is not due for an upgrade yet.

No, not exactly. A very well-respected and highly successful marketer offered the opportunity of using his funnel. Like a license. When you send him a lead his professionally written email series goes out to that person, and your affiliate links are in the emails. Customer buys, you get the commissions. Technically it is a lifetime arrangement.
