Do you know how to contact YouTube

Warriors,

My YouTube account has been suspended because "The YouTube Community has flagged one or more of your videos as inappropriate"

The video that was in "Violation" was an interview.

Having had a quick look on YouTube there are several people that have downloaded that interview and re-uploaded it as their own. So I can only assume that someone has reported my for copying "their video".

The video in question has been online for more than 9 months without issue so far but eBay have suspended my account and now all of the videos on my website have that horrible message saying that my account has been terminated.

The email address that YouTube contacted me with was a NO REPLY email and I cannot find a contact email. I tried support@youtube.com and got a reply saying that email is invalid and I should use the contact forms in the help center.

But there are no forms in the help center!

Does anyone have any suggestions as I fear this could switch of the $1,500 a month that this website currently makes.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Unfortunately, you can kiss that goodbye.

You can file forms but they are ignored. This has happened to many people, myself included. I still have a channel of 40 or 50 vids. that has been "locked" for about three years. It's still there but I can't do anything with it. I also had a channel of over 60 vids. deleted completely, without warning.

I don't create much anymore that I don't control. Content on this forum is about it.

Brent totally true.. Don't waste your time looking to reinstate the account.. They even don't care.. That's why some people have account backup. So they don't lose their income overnight.

Here's a page that seems to list the various ways of contacting YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/t/contact_us

If the video that other people are using belongs to you, I'd suggest contacting their department for copyright issues. (Listed on above page)

Other peoples experience suggests that completing an online form or emailing doesn't meet with great success.

If it was me, I'd give them a call and speak to a representative. Phone number also listed on their contact page. Make sure you get the name of the person you speak to. If that didn't work, I'd write to the CEO (snail mail). The letter would be factual, professional, and devoid of emotion! (No ranting or raving. Lol)

      Good luck!

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Youtube = Google. They are not known for their customer service. Even with physical products.

They wouldn't kick you for one video flagged. I suspect there is something about spam behind this. Or someone turned you in for copyright violations. Doesn't matter if it was yours, these websites don't investigate they get a DMCA notice and they just take action.
