Anyone here good at domain appraisals - 30 second appraisal please!

Hey there warriors!

I have had an offer of $50 for my site: www.urlCRUNCHER.com

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is really worth - It was formed about 1 week ago, and it is getting a steady 10 hits/day already, and that is increasing.

I have put out about 10 articles, and I was thinking of adding adsense and further promoting with backlinks...

Anyone have an opinion on the $50 price tag?

All suggestions appreciated!

thanks,

Mubarak

THat really isn't a crunched URL. Its still long. The domain name itself is long. You would probably fetch a higher price if you actually made it a smaller url. Jump on ebay and buy a cheap 3 character .net and use that as the output URL. That would work best in your case.
    Just my thoughts.

If you are looking for a quick appraisal the only thing that they look at is the monthly income.

A ready made website standard equation is 3 x monthly income.

URL buyers do not look at the amount of money or time that has been put into the website. That is irrelevant to them. All they want to know is PR and income.

A lower PR sites gets less money dependent on what VERIFIABLE income you can produce of it.

    Hope this helps.

    Yeah it does -

I am not looking to make money/get PR atm, but those are great tips thanks!

This guy has offered me 50 bucks. Should I say yes. I don't want to keep the domain...

It seems $50 is a lot of money to you. Perhaps you should sell it to him.

it's not that John! It is my first flip - and if I can earn 500% profit on one site, then I can earn 500% profit on a hundred sites, right?

No... not necessarily. You could... if you could find 100 buyers that all want urlCrunchers... Plus there are a lot of other factors to consider, i.e., domain name attractiveness, market conditions (maybe its in demand now but not a month from now), market penetration, etc, etc.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't believe you would (easily) find 100 willing buyers... and... for the amount of work (unless you automated it, including the buying process), it would be kind of like working a 'regular' job (i.e., you might be making $10-$20/hour)...

But, if you can prove me incorrect, go ahead

Take the 50 and run. Then use that money to register 5 new domains and develop'em.
