PLR Article sites - Niche or General topics?

I'm thinking of creating a site that sells PLR articles. But before I put the time and effort into it, I want to make sure it would be worth it and I build it with a good foundation for success. So I have a few "market research" questions.

1. Do people still purchase articles from PLR sites? Or would they rather pay the extra money and hire someone to write specific articles for them?

2. Is it better to create a niche based PLR site or a more general site that has lots of topics?

3. Should the number of article packs be limited? And if so, what's the maximum number that should be sold for each pack?

That's all for now but I may think of others depending on the responses I get here.

Thanks.

Mike

They buy PLR ebooks and videos. I know because I bought some recently.
I would include as many categories as possible. The sites I buy from have everything, articles, music, videos, etc., in many different niches.
