I know this question has been asked by many. But I'm asking because I am new to this field. What does someone do who is starting out int this field but has no money. But has the ambition, determination, and the attitude that they will be successful no matter what the circumstances are. And how do you find mentors who are willing to lend there knowledge as well as being able to give back to the mentor.

P.S.
How do you thank someone in a post if you found there post helpful.

    Awesome! Welcome Buddy!

WF is a great place to start at. You being without money is sort of good, considering many people here will pitch you useless stuff.
If I recommend, obviously learning is important, but you could always start blogging and promoting JvZoo, Clickbank or whatever products. You could also make videos!

If you need more help getting started, just message me!

If you want to replace money with work start digging instead of asking generic questions that have two answers for every person you ask.

I know this question has been asked by many.
A good reason to use the search or find the All-In-One threads.

What does someone do who is starting out in this field but has no money.

And how do you find mentors who are willing to lend there knowledge as well as being able to give back to the mentor.

Help other people in the area you want to work in.

What kind of mentor do you want?

    CPA?
    List building?
    Niche sites?
    Amazon?
    Affiliate marketing?
    Product creation?
    Traffic?
    SEO?
    eBay?
    Social marketing facebook?
    Ecommerce?

Start learning on your own. Build relationships by interacting and joining discussions. Offer help to others and build a reputation as someone who "has the ambition, determination, and the attitude that they will be successful".

    As the above poster suggested:
    Start blogging
    Promote JvZoo
    Promote Clickbank
    Promote whatever products
    Also make videos

That's five different mentors right there...

The "Thanks" button is active after a certain number of posts.

Well if you don't have money, I recommend doing whatever you can to make some...

Sell stuff, do chores, mow the lawn, whatever it may be!

When I first started I sold anything I had that I could get my hands on, eBay was my best friend at the time

The point is, if you are serious about doing IM, you gotta have at least some money to invest in your success

Hang out and learn who the top leaders are or trainers in the industry are and mentor off of them and learn the big picture. Yeah, you want to be making money but more importantly is how and why.

    Anotherwords "supply and demand"

O and simply just hit the "thanks" button there on the right

Have a great day and just be consistent.

I would say do not put off learning how to build your list. I put it off for 10 years and wish I had not now. They say money is in the list for a reason!

    Study list building.

Get an autoresponder. There are some free options out there but I'm not sure how well they will work as I haven't used them. I use Aweber.

Learn how to click bank. This is free. Join clickbanking groups on Facebook and/or Skype. You will meet a lot of like minded individuals on Facebook in these groups that are willing to help you.

James kind of nailed it. You need money for your own survival and to invest in your learning. Once you generate a bit of cash, I'd suggest getting a mentor or coach that will work with you towards your goals.
And for that you need to decide what area you want to focus on. So many to choose from, so spend plenty of time on the forum doing your homework, and see what niche appeals to you the most. Then actively seek a mentor in that niche.

    Welcome and best wishes!

      Hi,
Every successful IM expert today once was a newbie. They failed and tried again.

One thing I would like to suggest you to never give up in this field. IM is the niche where you can make lots of money. The amount of money you can ever dreamed.

The first thing here is to learn the basics. Spend more and more time on researching the success factors. Read peoples' post on how they are earning with new strategies. Try to follow their strategy.

Also it is better to try with one strategy. Never jump here and there like other newbies.

I can't say that you can do it with 0 investment but you should try as sometime you need small investments like $50 or $100 to start an income source. Think twice before spending a dime.

Rest you will learn more and more as you get older here. Just start from today.

      All the best..

Welcome, this is both a good place to be and a bad place. Plenty of helpful people and some sound advice but it is a bad place if you start to get into information overload, and this is easy to do. Choose an area in which you would like to work and concentrate on that. Don't flit from one idea to another and make sure you treat this like a real business.

I'd add that you should think about what type of business model you want to have.

Do you want to be a blogger, an affiliate, a product creator, etc. and then from there you can further define what you want to do. For instance, do you want to be an Amazon, Clickbank or other type of affiliate.

These are important since it will help you to focus on learning one thing and getting some start up cash there.

Set up some achievable goals for yourself and go after them.

BTW, you probably do have the cash to start your business. You just might have to sacrifice a few things to get it off the ground.

Best wishes to you and your new venture.

If you really have no money, then IM probably won't work. If you have the mindset "I have no money" then it won't work either.

If you have a little money then you need to get yourself focused on one method of money making because you don't have the finances to be jumping around from opportunity to opportunity.

But if you're determined as you say you are, then you will find a way .

    Good luck with it all.

I only started having results when i started promoting CPA offers using paid traffic. SEO takes time to learn and see results.

But there is many many ways to make money online, my advice would be to read as much here as you can and to check out some popular IM bloggers. Don't buy anything until you know what area you want to concentrate on then drill down into that and not get distracted by the latest shiny new thing.

You don't need money to get started. I started from scratch and now I'm making enough money to survive and I'm going to diversify my fields of knowledge and decide on which way I will go.

I am my self a newbie like you but its beautiful to be a newbie because you have the passion to get started and to learn. Don't listen to those who say that you need money to make money. I completely disagree with that.

The only thing that bring money is success and money doesn't bring success. Keep in a positive mindset and 100% attitude achieving your goals and dreams and you shall succeed.

    - Ask and it will be giving to you.
    - Seek and you should find.
    - Knock and it shall be opened.

I wish you good luck.. oh wait luck doesn't exist it's only the will and perseverance that makes things work.

First and foremost finding a mentor isn't all that hard. Simply ask and the right people will lend you their time and experience. I strive to be the coach I wish I had.

Secondly, if you don't have money you're not ready to own your own business. Frankly, that's never a reason to not get started. I had zero and was maxed out everywhere, yet I found a way to come up with $300 a month each of my first few months to make it happen.

  • Hi pdiddy25,

You are right, those questions are asked every day. You say you have no money to get started but you have internet, a home, food to eat, clothes, etc, so you do have money. It doesn't require a small fortune to get started but before you do, you need to decide what you will do and why IM?

To begin with, forget all about making money because the first things to do are:

    1. Decide upon a profitable niche.
    2. Write a short report and give it away on your squeeze page website with thank you and download pages linked from your autoresponder.
    3. Do nothing other than build that list and write 7 to 10 or a lot more follow up emails where you build a relationship with your list, then gradually recommend some quality products related to your niche which solves a problem or answers a burning question for them or somehow makes their lives better?
    4. To get sign ups, drive free traffic to your squeeze page or write a blog with good free content and link that to your squeeze page or include an opt in box there?
    5. Use guest blogs but always help others and never spam there as so many idiots do with an affiliate link and zero information of use to anyone? Sadly some people answer questions here and elsewhere and do this?
    6. Answer questions if you can on a few forums such as here and never spam your link but add a link to your blog in your signature if you have a blog? Affiliate links are a no no but a blog review of your's with good information and content would usually be allowed? Don't bother with forums that don't allow some benefits to yourself.
    7. Buy books or go to your library and read everything about IM and learn as much as you can. Make sure they are fairly recent however. More than 5 years old books might contain a lot of information that is no longer valid today?
    8. Use Facebook,Twitter, LinkedIn and so on and again, never spam!
    9. As soon as you can, get a mentor where you can learn faster for a small affordable monthly fee a lot more than from forums and the like.
10.Once your site is making money, create another one in a different or related niche and repeat. The more websites, the more money, all other factors being equal?

More money = more to invest and grow faster. Good luck and finally, never quit because winners never quit and quitters never win. If possible do as some have said and find some paid work to finance your future online business to freedom?

    Regards.

    Stephen & Jennifer.

Qualified individuals do not charge a small monthly fee.

If you see a small monthly fee, take that as a red flag and walk away.

What can you do to start out even without money? I would educate myself before I start. Read threads here in the forum about interests you have and ask questions in the threads. You will already gain a lot of knowledge from that.

You can also offer some services if you have skills like making videos, writing, graphics and so on. That will give you some money to invest.

If you don't have any skills, start your own blog and get used to write and start making your own videos. Learn along the way while you do it. You will fail a couple of times but the most important thing is not to quit.

Start building a list as soon as you can afford an autoresponder service and teach your subscribers what you already learned.

There is a lot to learn here. I think the best thing to do is go slow and learn one thing at a time. Trying to take in too much information at once I have found to be very confusing and does not work as well.

Welcome! Since you are new to the field I suggest you start investing with your knowledge and then right after that what you have to do next is to take action. One more thing if you really wanted to be successful in this field is that you need to have yourself disciplined and determined. Good luck to your journey. I am sure a lot of people will help you out here just not listen to their advice but do take actions too.

Rather than “chasing the money” choose a venture that you're genuinely passionate about. For me that's helping people with fear and anxiety. It can be about anything, though.

You may be able to make money (even a lot of money) just focussing on that, however, in my experience it's nowhere near as rewarding as doing something that you're passionate about. Not only that, there's a certain “Karma” involved with being an Entrepreneur in the sense that more you improve people's lives, the more money you make.

First, I would offer my services on oDesk and other freelancing websites. I would also advertise my services here using my forum signature.

Then, I'd start a blog when I have saved enough money to pay for hosting and a domain name. I'd put an email form (usually called an opt-in form) on my blog so I could collect email addresses and build a subscriber list. I'd create something valuable that I could give away for free in exchange for people's email addresses. I'd give tremendous value to the people in my list by giving them useful and relevant information. Then, I'd promote my products and/or services to them.

I'd monetize my blog by selling other people's products (affiliate marketing). I could also create my own product (an e-book, an online course, etc.) and use my blog to market it.

I'd also network with other marketers like myself. I'd build relationships with them and participate in joint ventures (JVs). I'd make myself as valuable to my fellow marketers as they are to me.

As you can see, I believe that Internet marketing is about building relationships and giving value. Do these well and success will follow.

There are a lot of outstanding mentors here, but if you want one-on-one mentoring, you'd need to pay. If you can't afford to pay for a mentor's services, you can simply go to the Warrior Forum to ask questions and to solicit advice.

    I wish you the best.

Hi, I was like you when I started. Get hold of some MRR books I got something like 500 off James Jordon when I first started out and study them. This will give you an idea of where you want to go. You only get crap for free. You need to find someone and then see if you can trust them to deliver on what they say they will do then invest more into them and learn the trade. Hope this helps if you need any help just post me and I will do my best to point you in the right direction Rock On Peace Out
