What version of Windows are you running? I've never heard of a virus that plays music for you.
My recommendation would be to check and make sure you dont have some 'behind the scenes' programs running such as jukebox or something. I thought I had the same thing a while back but realized it was an embedded radio tuner in one of my programs. Hope this helps. |

hit ctrl+alt+delete which launches the task manager. Look at your running applications and processes. See if there's anything there that looks like a media player (such as wmp.exe) or better yet, glance at the CPU tag and see which process is using up some memory. If you see an app that's causing an increase in usage when you have all applications closed, write down the image name and google the description. Once you know what is running and playing music, you can end the process.
If you really feel you have a virus go to cnet and download spybot search and destroy or malwarebytes Antimalware. Run a scan. |

Spybot has done wonders for my computer.. and its FREE! Also you can try this, click start>Run>and type msconfig in the entry line.
It can be a tedious task but go through each program on there and find out what programs are running that you dont recognize or use. On XP there can be a long list but if its that much of a problem it will be worth it if you dont want to format your entire system. |

It's probably nothing to do with a virus - but your laptop may be picking up rogue radio signals. Are you using a wireless adapter? It can also happen to PC speakers which can act as an antenna for radio signals. You generally find it happens with certain weather/atmospheric conditions?
If it is a constant annoyance there are filters available (Tandy, Maplin, Radio Shack or whatever) |
