    Amazon pays very little but since there brand recognition is so high, you can make a lot of sales -people trust them.

    But anyway the customer must buy something within a 24 hour window,\ to get provision. if customers returns later the affiliate do not get nothing. Affiliate do not get recurring comission on buys customer later does, the cookie must be fresh.

    4% is the minimum payout. As others have mentioned visitors trust buying through Amazon and you also get paid for pretty much anything they buy.
    Certain times of the year especially the months around Thanksgiving and Christmas and the Black Friday Sales, you can double or even triple your income.

    It starts out at 4% then goes up to 6% after you sell 7 items and goes up from there. Here's the commission schedule:

    Also, if someone uses your link to sign up for the Prime 30 day free trial, it's $2.

    I've made good money with Amazon's affiliate program selling ebooks. It adds up fast. And if people buy high end electronics from one of your links, then you can do really well.

    Like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it.

      From my experience you need to put in a lot of work to make any decent money but it can be worth it.

      What are you thinking of doing? Review sites have worked best for me but you really don't want to be pushing the products too hard!

      Good honest reviews are the way forward. Tell the good and the bad but don't be afraid to put a little positive slant on the negatives. Even bad things can have their advantages to some people.

      No. Once a customer clicks on your link, a cookie is added to your computer for 24 hours. It doesn't matter if theyre already registered or not. As long as they buy something within that 24 hours, you'll get the commission for it. Even if they buy a Kindle and your affiliate ad was for a cell phone, you will still get the commission.

    Electronic products are capped at 4% commission. What is the reason. Believe it is low profit margins. Still, that is a small cap. Please do exercise some care.

    It's purely a numbers game. If you can entice enough clicks and get the cookies set then it's worth it.

    It is more difficult than it used to be though. Sites built around pushing Amazon affiliate links don't get much love by Google anymore. They used to. Now you've got to be prepared to put a lot more work into the content of your sites.

    I have tried the amazon online store.my online store is>hall.onlinewebmall.net - Home .I even paid 300 dollars for an agency to promote it for one year.That was 7 months ago. So far as of now ,I have made nothing from it.I wish I new how to promote it myself because I like the idea,but so far I am in the whole.Anyone have any ideas for me please?

      Your website has no content on it. And it has no focused. I'm actually surprised Amazon hasn't restricted your account yet because they don't allow sites that are primarily advertising.

      Even the little blog I had made some good money on Amazon, and it was in a low paying niche. But it was a blog, so it had continuous fresh content several times a week. This brought visitors back, and builder trust.

    The commission for Amazon varies depending upon the product that you are selling. You may want to look over their commission structure to see which products would be more worth your time.

    I don't know you weigh the pros and cons. You can make I think up to eight percent or I could when I did amazon but the first tier is 4 percent or 4.5 percent.
    Now couple that with the work you put in. The cost of advertising now figure out what your percent is.

    Is it worth it in my mind, no it's not. Also with that brand recognition they have means lots more competition for you. Higher cost of advertising. How much does a super affiliate make after costs, Not much I assure you. Advertising costs just to be a super affiliate are out of this world.

    Why not promote jvzoo or warriorplus even clickbank is better. If you want to really make some good affiliate commissions and have a residual income look for lifetime residual affiliate offers.

    I know I knock amazon quite frequently but its because I was there, I earned a great deal with them but when you get down to the real P and L of the business it doesn't come to much from all the work and headaches.

      You're not going to make much of anything with Amazon using the method so commonly touted by the "gurus" here on the forum. Sorry, but putting up an "affiliate site" is not how the really big Amazon affiliates are doing it. They're building customer lists, and directly marketing to proven buyers.

      Perhaps the most lucrative segment for affiliates in Amazon is industrial/business supplies at AmazonSupply.com, where the commission is a flat 8%. Learn to market to businesses, ie automotive, medical, restaurants, academia, contractors, etc. It's not uncommon for businesses to spend upwards of five figures (or more) on just one order.

    Not sure how you define 'better'. Sure these programs tend to pay more commission but they aren't as well known or trusted by the general public as Amazon are.

    Everyone knows and trusts Amazon. Conversion rates are high and refunds are low.

    If you promote high end products or those that sell in huge volumes then you don't have to worry about the 4% commission.

    As someone else has said making review sites may not be your best bet.

    They still work for sure if you know what you are doing (check out NichePursuits.com and CloudLiving.com for 2 guys who know their stuff) but that's not the only way to make money from Amazon.

    Building a list round a niche topic rather than a keyword and selling related items to your subscribers also works and it's less unpredictable than a site that can only make money whilst it's ranked in Google which we all know is very unpredictable.

    Just an Idea.

    Create a page that promote several products for a specific business that spends lots of money on those products, such as growers equipment. Yes, growers spend LOTS of money, trust me.

    A 1000w light system starts at $150 and goes up to $900 or more if it is LED, like Diamond LED lights.

    Crazy money there to be had, I think, if the page was marketed correctly.

    Might even be worth going to businesses in person. Ask them how much they spend on (whatever) products a year, such as paper.

    Put together the best prices for the best brands on a web page from Amazon. Let them know that you found the best deals on the products they buy regularly, so they don't have to do the work.

    You can say, you might think I want to charge you for this, but I don't. Here is the site. Give him the page you created. You might even try being totally transparent.

    The reason I created this page and did all this research is that I will get a small commission from the products you buy from my page, and you save money.

    Sure, as you grow so will your commissions. I believe you can get up to close to 20% as a commission once you start driving sales.

    You need to maintain those numbers to keep your commissions high or every month amazon will put you back at 4%

    Sell a lot of lower price items and get your commissions up there then you can market higher ticket items and make 500 plus per sale!

    For all those that promoting products that are on amazon are able to make a lot of money it because the people that bought the things on the site also bought the items related to the product that they where looking for.

    This has made it possible to still make more commission even though the commission rate is small.
