If it is anything in the IM/MMO niches, look no further than where you are now

How can you simultaneously use a few affiliate programs? I thought you're supposed to pick and choose just one.

For each affiliate program, you put up a unique sales page.

ie, a JVzoo page and a W+ page.

You can host one page at the WF, and another as self-hosted.

        Works rather well.

If you are relatively new, start building relationships on here is a good starting point.

Once your name is out there a bit, people will recognize you.

The bigger names may not come in yet, as they have bigger fish to fry. That said, if your product stats are very good, a few may come calling :-)

You didn't mention what kind of product you have. It depends on the kind of products you are promoting. If your product is a digital product or a download that people can instantly download after purchase, I would suggest you to go for ClickBank.

But if you are promoting a product which is actually a service, I would suggest you to go for Shareasale. Both of these networks are wonderful platforms to get new affiliates for your products or services.

As Adam Payne suggested you need to make friends with fellow affiliate/internet marketers, nobody is going to promote anything or anyone they don't trust or know. It really is a game of who you know & can work with.

You can follow the traditional path of reciprocal mailings, thank you page banner & bonus swaps & what not to get the ball rolling.. however ideally you need to form a core group (mastermind) of people similar to yourself & back each others launches to the MAX.

Forming a hit team like that is where the real gold is at. You can back each other with more ideas, resources & most importantly get massive prelaunch buzz started 6-4 weeks out from the launch date/s.

But everyone in the team/mastermind needs to get onboard and fully support each other. Most tend to just lap up the loving and then disappear once required to give back.

If you are searching Affiliate marketers on forum then primarily you require to add full detail of your products to get quick result and if you are searching same via web then it may very difficult task. Actually there are various affiliate marketing sites are running on web such as: Clickbank, Paydotcom, JVzoo etc but we need enough reliability regarding their services to achieve our aim.

Joint venture/mix with people not only in your industry but think outside the box. If you are selling, say sex toys, think maybe the local yoga teacher might have people interested etc..

Get offline....build relationships, Shock horror. Common sense 101. No magic software to do it for you.

First of all its best to make sure your product is converting before you go out and find a bunch of affiliates and you burn those relationships because your products sales page sucks!

Maybe its very good, I don't know. Have you tested it yet?

Create a campaign targeting affiliates and send traffic to it!

The best way to pique affiliates interests is to build relationships, and the best place to do that is where you are at now.. here
You can also start joining some facebook groups on your niche and start meeting people, helping people and give yourself some value..
Once you have value, your product has value..

    Good luck!

Have multiple products to promote. Give abut 75% to your affiliates and then list it on affiliates network.

if you click bank make a 3 $ purchase of your own product so that it gets listed in the marketplace where affiliates can see your products and promote it.

try capturing email id' of all your affiliates so you can inform them of your new products.

Also try mailing back the marketers who promote to you explaining about your product and their benefits in them promoting it.

You can checkout jvnotifypro.com/jvnewswatch.com. That is where most product creators launch their products and get affiliates to promote them.

You need to be an affiliate for someone else, then after you make them some sales contact them to see if they would be interested in promoting your product.

Currently our company uses Shareasale to promote our desktop sit/stand workstations. It's been going ok and there is a good ROI but I think it could be better. These are high end products with the average sale on the website being $700+. We provide a 10% commission.

Do any of you think that shareasale is a good fit for our product or is there another affiliate program we should be looking at?

First, you have to talk to your blogger friends or other webmasters, once they start promoting it, some visitors will like to promote it too. Do not forget to offer attractive sales commissions.
