30,000 Visitors Daily - How To Funnel Towards One Blog Post?

Hi Warriors

It's been a long while since I've been here - and I'm here asking for some ideas.

I have a Wordpress blog that generates 30-50,000 visitors per day. I've recently published a blog post that is making considerably more money than my other posts (because it pre-sells a time sensitive affiliate offer).

I want to drive as much traffic to this particular blog post using my existing readership - so does anyone have any ideas?

I have done the obvious, including promoting the blog post to social media and email subscribers.

What else can I do?

I've seen some blogs have pop ups rise from the bottom right of the screen (like when you get a new email from Gmail) - what plug-in does this?

Similarly, some blogs have notification bars along the top that highlight special offers - what plug-in is this?

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
James

    Hi James,

Find authority blogs in this niche, guest post, and link up to this post. It'll drive a torrent of traffic if you hit the guest post trail hard and provide value

    All the best!

You should either have a programmer re-design your home page, in way that features the blog post or you can install a new wordpress theme with this feature. You can do this in combination with the plugin method.

You can make that 'particular' blog post which you want to drive your daily traffic too into a 'sticky post' which means that it will appear at the top of your blog, for all blog posts.

(It is the same kinda idea like a sticky post on this forum, the same principle)

Here is a quick video on how to do it.

I do this method, with the important offers which I want to be viewed on my blog, to the daily fresh visitors which are coming to my blog.

    It works well for me.

James, in your case if you make that blog post into a 'sticky' post, then your visitors of 30-50,000 visitors per day will see that post at the top.

As I said, it works well for me so try it.

Matt, thanks for the nice demo - does this only work for making sticky post to the homepage or can you also stick to category pages?
      Thanks for your feedback.

Also, another idea is to use something like "Related Posts" plugin to display this particular blog post at the bottom of all other blog posts...

It will look something like "Like this post? Here's another you'll love..."

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Coby

Install the 'hello bar' (www.hellobar.com - it's free) and add a link to the popular post on your site.

Add a featured post section to the top of the page that features that post.

Add a 'most popular' post section to your sidebar.

Link to your post from within other posts on your site that receive high traffic where it's relevant to do so.

Google "sticky footer" and "sticky widget" and add a sticky footer and widget that promotes the post.

Not sure if this helps but if you can find a blog which does either of the above two things and then go to wpthemedetector.com it should tell you what plugins are installed on that site ....
