Question on Amazon Affiliate Program

Hello Cedric. Yes, if you are in a state in the U.S. that allows Amazon Affiliates or if you are in a country that does, then you go to Amazon and sign up as an "Associate" is what they call it. It will take a few days and then you will get an approval.

Once approved you can sell any product on Amazon and get a commission. The sales are country specific, so if you are using a U.S. associate id # then sales from the U.K. for example, will not be paid. If you want to market to different countries then you have to sign up for each of those countries.

I currently only link books from my site and have made some sales, but you can link to anything for sale on Amazon.

If you are planning on promoting multiple product ranges, it helps to set up different tracking ID's for each niche.

My niche sites sell anything from books, makeup, clothing and jewelery to art.

Yes as others have mentioned you get paid for pretty much anything you promote as well as anything else that they buy at the same time.

Yes,you can be an affiliate and then you can choose the products that you would like to promote.All you have to do is to signup with amazon affiliate program once,your account is approved you will get an affiliate id then,you can start promoting products.

You can promote almost all products on Amazon, but very few are not accessible through their API. I experienced that to be the case with some VERY expensive TVs so I wasn't able to build a direct affiliate links to those single product pages.

You can choose any product you want. And what is the best is that they have more than a million products to choose from. No matter the niche you will certanly find a product to promote.

You can make good money with this, especially around Christmas. Put something cool or unusual on Facebook. When they click on it, even if they don't buy it whatever else they buy is on your account.

Will my Associates ID work in all countries? (e.g. can I use my Amazon.co.uk Associates ID in a US widget?)
No. Your Associates ID will only earn you referral fees from sales in the same locale as your Associate ID. For example, to earn referral fees from an Amazon.co.uk widget, you must be a member of the UK Associates program and use that UK Associates ID in your UK widget. You must sign up to be a member of the Associates program in each Amazon locale for which you will be building widgets.
