well, I am slightly surpised at least because...

Because I have only at this post, just 5 of us on my list, I tryed a quick solo from myself to my list about a related Clickbank product that complements my niche. I am surpised that ANYONE clicked it.

Naturally, I didn't expect a sale yet, but still one of us clicked it and it wasn't me. Somebody did and I was surprised that ANYONE clicked it at ALL! I never expected ONE click-PERIOD! What's more, I kept my excitement in FULL check, so I couldn't be disappointed at no sales, and do NOT expect a sale from one teeensy list at all yet. The "plant" is only two teeny supertender minileaves out of the potting soil.

Being that it is a list I treasure dearly, like I said, I won't batter them with a bajillion solos a day, but reign in the horse completely and only send an ad every two days in most cases. For such an iinsy list, that is a good one, though just one click anyhow. No matter whether they would've bought it or not, this was a first small solo from me that I sent separately out from the regular messages. I will NOT send 3 to 100 solos a day to this list like I would have at the old list. That. Will. Not. Happen. One lone solo every second day is PLENTY! Keep that in mind, bro.

Let me understand: You have a list of 5 people, one of you being you, and you have a signature about solo ad brokering and building a list ? Tell me what I`ve missed because it sounds so funny

According to your signature, you deal in solo ads. According to this post you've got a list of 5 people.

Something doesn't add up, but I can't quite place my finger on it...

On a more constructive level, as a solo ad "provider" and broker - you surely know the importance of a high converting squeeze page. Have you not looked at or edited yours in the past 15 years?

Please know - I'm NOT being an ass, just pointing out what's obvious to us that might not be so obvious to you.

    Questions:
    1. How do you sell, broker and make money with solo-ads yet only have a list of 5?

    2. You might want to 'update' your squeeze page, it looks like it was put together by a preschooler who hasn't had his nap yet

    3. How much do you currently charge for a solo blast to your list of 5? I"d love to get in on that action!

Starting to see what the problem might be yet? :-)

Yeah, my opinion exactly. I think he`s trying to advertise something, but he really isn`t doing it right

If you go back and read the OP's posts I think you'll see a pattern. He/she (not sure) is trying to better their life through starting an online business and gets easily excited or frustrated or even confused in a way when someone clicks a link or some of the dream seems to have some chance of success.

I generally read every post this person makes because it is interesting watching the journey - the same one we all went through in the beginning with its ups and downs.

I think they have drunk the Koolaid that many people sell on here - no matter if you have made any money or are making money the way to riches is to xxx. And that includes starting a solo ad service, writing a get rich quick ebook, or running one of those wild WSOs.

I can empathize in many ways with their excitement, their process of learning and growing, etc.

What I wish is that they could find a way to NOT do what they are doing (selling solo ads) -and focus on some other talent or interest but go through the same journey of learning and ultimately success.

For some reason I hope this person makes it - even more than the hundreds of other posts from newbies - maybe because of the exciting news they share, the frustrations they voice, the fact that someone did click a link or buy something and they start to see hope for a better world. There's almost a certain innocence about the whole thing instead of the feeling he or she is out to dupe people or hurt people.

I don't know if any of that made sense. Regardless, I hope the OP finds their success - just hope they can do it ethically and morally and not trying to dupe others in the process.

I am doing my best to cease the coolaid and concentrate more on this; slow down on selling solo ad brokering and list building ebooks. Instead of solo ad brokering so much, I decided to put it to slow for now and concentrate more on building a list and selling the solo ad and these sorts of traffic info products.

Well keep going. At least you've made a start. Lists can take awhile to grow to a good size. Best of luck!

        Devon,

Thanks for a great post speaking of your success!!!

Having been in IM for awhile now and growing my list daily.

You always remember that first time you had success and how it made you feel.

Since mailing my list regularly, I have started seeing comissions and sales coming in from affiliate offers and my own.

        It's a wonderful feeling.

Keep up the great work and continue to post your success

I can hardly wait to get to this point. Just that click alone had been encouraging, despite no sale yet, as can be expected at the moment.

Oh yeah. The tiniest seedling will grow if you water it correctly. I am anxious to see it be that much bigger. This morning, I woke up to 2 more new people. I don't know what tomorrow will bring. I am trying to find ways to really get the subscribers in. What I think is really helping is that I use a VERY simple signup page. No fancy graphics or NOTHING. Just a straight page with a signup form directly under a free report.

Try googling IM Giveaways and sign up for a few of those

What you're doing is putting your product on a page with other multiple products and the people running the giveaway are driving traffic through their lists and also the people who added a product to the page as well are doing the same thing.

I knew that, but I didn't see too many that were going to start in the next few days. But, I did submit to 3 of the latest ones and got a couple subscribers from that so far.

I am further darned because of this: I DIDN'T have the What Is In It For Me list at the front of my signup form and people did click that link from the letter anyhow, be it so small. I am just presently darned that they ever signed up in the first place.

What is more, I am darned once again that anyone clicked at all on the solo ad because I don't think I had a VERY clear What Is In It For Me there. May have been foggy at best. BIG WONDER that ANYONE clicked it at all, frankly.

How do you sell solo ads with a list of just 7 people? I genuinely want to know

The OP could easily be brokering solo ad sales instead of building their own list.

There are also a lot of people who come to the forum for the first time and ask for help on how to make money online. When you look at their signature, they say something like:

How We Are Making A Ton Of Money Online.

That is the weird and funny part.
