Recommended service providers on Fiverr or similar sites

I'm looking for any recommendations for writers on Fiverr for high quality blog posts and articles. Ideally they can do other types of content like ebooks, reports, etc. with research (for higher cost). There are lots of highly rated providers on this and similar sites, but it's hard to tell without recommendations or trial and error which I want to avoid. I also want to avoid sites like Elance, Odesk, etc. since they tend to be more expensive. I'm looking for actual profiles with links to them if possible and not a list of sites to check. Sites / profiles with prices similar to Fiverr are ok -- just can't spend too much. I know the prices are cheap, but there are decent writers on there. Hope some folks here can help. Thanks.

Dave, true enough, some good writers do exist on Fiverr, but think of this analogy; if you wanted an accurate diagnosis to cure a serious illness, would you seek out a doctor who charges $10 an hour, or $150? The $10 an hour doctor guy, well, something's wrong there. You take your health seriously and know the going rate is closer to $150, so you go with him.

If you take your blog seriously, you know the going rate for quality, talented writers is $45 per 600 word article, or higher, and it's certainly not $5 per article Pay for quality; your business will thank you for it. Even if you could hire out a $5 writer who puts out decent stuff you are simply verifying their low valuation of themselves, which doesn't do them a favor either lol

I've been ghostwriting for about 3 years and my girlfriend for 5. To nail down good article writers, pay well, and the leads and sales you generate from your commitment will be well worth the investment.

    All the best!

I have had really mixed results with Fiverr. The graphics work I received were well done, but writing gigs were hit and miss.

Understand that many of these writers lie about being native English speakers and that they provide well researched and well written articles which are not spun and will pass Copy-scape.

One of the worst writers argued with me that the article was not spun. When I pointed out that a person's name "Bill" had been spun to "Invoice", she said she would get one of her better writers to redo it. This second article was also spun off of the internet with extremely broken English.

Another writer actually gave me two well written articles so I bought another gig from him. The difference was night and day. Whoever wrote the second set of articles definitely spun the article and did not do any grammar or spelling checks.

      Things to keep in mind.

      1. The person you buy gig from may not be the one who writes the article.
      2. The writer may not be English speaker. Gig owner may outsource to India or another country.
      3. Even though they say in ad that article is not spun, well researched and written by native English speakers, you will get highly spun, non-researched, articles written by foreign language writers which will not be readable.

      Main Point

The rating system is rigged in the sense that if you eventually cancel the order and you receive a refund you will not be able to leave a rating or comment on the gig. I choose 100% feedback rated writers for my articles. When I eventually got the refund I was not able to rate the gig.

      Suggestion

      - do not trust the rating system
      - take note of the gig ad, if the ad is in broken English you can be sure of what you are buying, some are so bad that you can sometimes tell where the writer is from by the "accent" of the text. Indian, East European and other Asian writers do display an "accent" in their writing
      - the country of the gig owner may have nothing to do with where the writer is actually from
      - do not fall for the pretty face. Many of these people use pictures of models to lure people in. Hey, sex sells even for crap articles

This may sound too simplified. Hire one who has good reviews and have that person write an article for you. If it's good, hire that person to do more.

Trial and error with those people.

One more tip: the more detailed you are when describing what you need ( to them) the better the results you usually get. That's what I've found...

I have to be honest, there aren't many people that will share their best writers or assistants. That's because someone else may come along and offer them more money or the person may enjoy working for the other person for another reason.

I invested a LOT of time and money researching, testing and teaching my current helper. There's no way I'd share that information.

This does remind me of another idea I had, though. Hmmm....
