First of all, have you released a Press release of some product or site of yours and received good results? Was it a paid or free press release site? If free, can you recommend some of the best free press release sites for me?

Unfortunately based on all too much experience the problem with FREE press release sites is that they are not reliable, they go down, and site permissions change all too frequently.

My software used to submit to 45 FREE sites, but because they had so many issues we moved away from that and as a result I created my own network of reliable 30+ industry based private submission sites.

If you choose to go the free route realize that your efforts are likely to be in vain.

  Unfortunately, same can be said about most free ways to do stuff.... atleast in the marketing department.

The free press release sites are fake press releases. The media does not look at those.
