Hey warriors, just signed up today so be nice
New to the affiliate world and loving it even with no sales yet. Been reading about paid traffic and wondered if anyone has any success stories to tell about it?
Also wondered if anyone could check out my site and tell me if I'm going in the right direction as to how an affiliate site should look and feel?
Cheers
Jp

Yes, solo ads are the best for me with paid traffic

Got a 100 click solo ad got 20 new subscribers and 1 sale, so to me that's a great success!

Whichever one you choose make sure your building a list in the process. Definitely will catapult your profits

Exactly how is this done? How can you build a list without even having a website?

No, adfly will get your site banned from (amongst others) Amazon, Adsense, Chitika etc Make sure to use 100% Adsense safe traffic. Interstitial traffic is against Amazon TOS.

Paid traffic is certainly the way to go.
Personally, I've used solo ads, PPC, forum,
banner ads, PPV and now messing around with
    retargeting.

There is no faster way to get traffic to your sites!

When I first got into internet marketing in 2005, I used mainly free traffic and built up a nice full time online business...

When I started implementing paid traffic, the game changed... and I had to change... I got complacent simply driving traffic and not seeing the true potential of what I had...

Getting into paid traffic made me a better marketer... and best of all, allowed me to scale up businesses quickly.

So is paid traffic worth it? You betcha! But be sure to get good training, then actually implement that training in the real world and let that be your true teacher.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of using paid ads until you're business is making profit.

And until you have an audience to analyse you'll find it difficult to get your targeting right for the best return on investment.

I'm also not a big fan of solo ad traffic either. They are great for testing free offers and yes you may make the occasional sale from them, but just remember that solo ad lists are built up of subscribers who mainly want FREE information because that's how they build the list.

And don't forget that it's the quality of your email list that matters, not the quantity!

There are lots of free traffic methods that WORK such as search engine traffic, an email list and social media. Those are the three main methods when just getting started.

Then, when you have a small audience and you're making a profit you can begin experimenting with Facebook and Google ads, but be careful, they can be a real money suck if you don't get your targeting right.

    Hope that helps!
    Kerry

If you're 100% new, I would hesitate to recommend spending much on anything.

I would stick to "low risk" methods like list building.

The truth is, unless you have a great funnel, education, or are really capable of tracking statistics, it can be overwhelmingly difficult to buy traffic at a profit.

So, seek education, the ability to track, and instead start building your list.

    Just my $.02.

As far as paid ads go, I recommend banner advertising. I have a far better response when I am posting a banner than when I am posting just a text ad. Just make sure you are not posting your banner next to 10 other blinking banners. If you can get a good banner slot for an affordable price go for it.

Got plenty of them, and plenty of fellow Warriors here do, too.

But that's not necessarily important, unless you are big on 'seeing is believing'

I noticed you also talked about AdFly which is something you want to treat like a rattlesnake...

    And stay farrr farrr away.

Anyways, solo ads are a simple way to test out an affiliate offer...

And you can do so without breaking the bank.

Just make sure you put some time into finding a reliable seller

Paid traffic is good... but you have to know your numbers and math, and make sure you have a backend funnel that can recoup (then surpass) your advertising investment.
