Help Me! I overthink everything...

Hi,

So I've been looking to create my own sales funnel but I'm new to list building. I started as an affiliate and managed to get some subs, but I didn't like the way poeple were getting on my list without actually knowing it. Also, I only had one offer in this funnel so I couldn't play with it.

What I want to do is to have a front end offer and an upsell so that I can build my own funnel. However, I can't get started because I really overthink about which product I should promote!

I have to choose the right product because it will affect the kind of subs I'll get, no?!

I can't promote a product that says something I don't agree with. Since, I might say the contrary in the content I will give them...

I bought some PLR and manage to get some good info, so I'd like to brand it so the visitors and buyers would learn to know me. However, it might take me longer than just take a product as is.

That's a lot of questions and I know I should start as soon as possible, do you have any advices?

Thanks a lot!

Creating a sales funnel is all well and good... and can multiple profits like no other... however, you've got to know when to do it and how to do it, otherwise, your progress as an internet marketer could be pushed out further and further away.

My advice... is to focus on driving traffic, getting good at building your list, and email marketing... once you've got that down, promoting various offers, including your own sales funnel becomes... well, easy.

    How were you doing that?

Yes, but you have to start testing somewhere, and be prepared to fail. That's kind of how it goes. You keep trying and testing until something works and then you build on that.

I think it really depends on your niche to what exact route you should take. What works for one doesn't always work for another. Front end products can be anything and up-sells can be anything that is related and "assists" the front end product.

If you sell a small report for 5.00, sell the whole book for 17.00 (that's an up-sell) then get them into the funnel, with a down-sell (a LITE version of the ebook) for only 10.00 or a MP3 that assists the front end for 10.00.

Followed by a One Time offer, that is closely related to the front end (example- If you do a book on email marketing - the OTO can be of 365 ready to go emails for 27.00) or whatever. Stay in the same area of your niche so the user is thinking - "I need this" - " ooh and I need this" - "Damn I got these 2 so I need this"...

Then just tweak from there. Hope it helps

In fact, I'm in the IM niche, but I'd like to stand out.

I think you have the general idea of how to build a funnel figured out.. Your problem is that you think too much.
If that's keeping you from taking action I would advise you to reach out to successful list-builders. You can find them all over FB in various groups.
Also, the best thing to do is take action.. It may take a while because of trial and error, but this will take a lot longer if you spend too much time thinking about it..

    Hope this helps

    Hi Catherine

I think you have most of the pieces, but are wondering how to put the jigsaw together. There are a plethora of sub niches in the "IM niche". And it can be overwhelming as to what to do and choose, and which way to go first.

I'd suggest you take a step back, stay as an affiliate (for now) with someone who has already built a successful funnel, learn to drive traffic to the funnel (or get the owner to teach you!), build you list and make $ marketing to that list - learn as you earn.

Building a funnel with a good offer and OTO's can be a lot of work. Take baby steps. Then when you're half confident, have a go yourself - you're not going to break anything!

I had similar problems in the past and I really started focusing in on 1 task at a time and following through to completion before going on to the next task. I know that can be difficult in this industry, with all the shiny objects thrust at us on a daily basis, but that really helped me out. good luck.
