Yes! FB page, I did that and it worked wonders..
Especially in your niche, if you create a FB page and run one ad campaign for likes you will be flooded with likes and from there you can relay the traffic by sharing the posts on your website with the FB page..

    Hope this helps!

I would recommend you check out this thread http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ffic-tips.html.

Have a read through all of the helpful tips, and find a way that you think you would be able to do.

The best thing is, most of the strategys in that thread will work long term, so you could then start working on having multiple traffic streams to your website.

You will be posting images, posts etc on your fan page and if your fans like it, they will hit "Like" button for that post or image. They might post a comment in response to your post or image. If your fans think that your post or image is worthy, they will be sharing it with their friends.
There are many things that can be done on your fan page.

Good SEO is just the ticket. If you want to go the solo ad route, then you need to hit up the relevant ezines.

I'm currently paying a company abt $20k per year to run traffic... not sure whether I'm making a right choice hiring them.

I'm riding on them for traffic, if no traffic, i don't think i can afford it..

      And Solo ads... worth it?

Ideally you want to focus on search, email and social traffic. And start networking in popular communities in your niche to become known.

For me social media is my top performing traffic source right now followed by email and then organic.

Don't use paid methods until you are making a profit with your business because unless you know your market well and you have experience, it's a total money suck.

And I'm not a big fan of solo ads. Yes, you may make the odd sales here and there and they are great for testing free offers and VERY low cost products, but don't forget that solo ad lists are made up of subscribers looking for FREE information.

    Hope that helps!

The methods that you choose should be the one that you are comfortable with.

I am doing solos, article marketing and blogging.

These are fine for me for now.

    Cheers!

I just created a fanpage.. frankly I'm not very good with facebook fanpage, although i use facebook alot..
To add likes, i have to pay facebook to advertise for me (again!).

For 30 likes, I have to pay Approx USD10-20 for it, that's unreasonable.
I have to read more on fanpage usage.

Thus, I've paid monthly approx USD1.5K to run SEO stuff on my website. But it's relatively low on traffic and I don't think I'm making the right choices here.
Or (in my mind) they're doing Black hat SEO?

    My personal experience:

I've tested different niches on different advertising platform/methods.
Tangible products seem to work better on Facebook vs Adwords (PPC). Products I have tested on FB and Adwords are clothings, beauty products and wholesale costume jewelleries. Gained profit of approx. avg 12K monthly profit throughout an entire year, my average spend on FB was $2,000 a month. Majority of sales (maybe 90%) of my tangible products were sold via FB traffic, 20% from adwords. (My Adwords budget monthly: $2000)

The best way I've personally encountered to increase traffic, is to create content that doesn't suck.

My blog posts are shared on average 35+ times (probably 50+), which brings in a BOATLOAD of automatic social traffic.

That's the best traffic on the planet.

Traffic from people (real humans) that enjoy and devour your content.

So much to the point where they share it with their own colleagues.

I mean no disrespect to deeareoh for adding this sentence. I just think we need to be more careful before contributing broad sentences like this. The wrong newb could see this and jump into fb ads without proper direction and make some very big mistakes including getting their account banned. Plus, you could have the greatest product, and the crappiest fb ad and you won't see any results. Or, you could have the greatest ad and get all the traffic you want but not a single sale and you'll still be pissed.

Just sayin', try to be more specific instead of generalizing...especially when it comes to traffic building suggestions.
