Clickbank - am I doing it right ?

I have put a banner on my website, with a clickbank link to an affiliate product, and I am getting clicks on Orders but no sales.

My link is in the form: http://myclickbankname.affiliatename.hop.clickbank.net/

Is this alright?

    You need more than just a banner to get people to buy usually.

    Yes, the format is correct, and your stats show you are recording order form hits.

    The problem is the offer you are promoting has not covered any sales.

    You may need to 'presell' your visitors on the product to warm them up... e.g. writing a review, making a recommendation etc.

    There are plenty of threads on WF about ClickBank strategy.

    That's a hell of alot of Order Form server calls. Try switching to a new Clickbank account. When this happens to me I make the switch and that usually fixes the problem. Annoying and weird. I know...

    Over the years I have noticed the decline in the "banner sales". People treat banners as pure advertizement and although they might click on them - they are not likely to buy.

    Now, if the banners are not very relevant to the content, you have even less of a chance of making sales. I do use banners from time to time but they are very targeted.

    I prefer to "sell" through the content rather than banners.

    If you're okay with making no sales, then I suppose so

    Clickbank has a massive rate of shopping cart abandonment, which is what it looks like is happening here.

    You can always:

    1) Carry on promoting this to see how well it does over more hops

    or

    2) Test out a new offer and compare results

    However there wouldn't be much to compare...

    As 1 sale from a new offer would beat this one

    What timeframe are we talking here - maybe give it longer. If nothing happens after a couple of days, try testing another product.

      Timeframe is about 5-6 days.
      This is my first time trying to earn money with Clickbank, that's why I wondered why I have so many Order clicks and no sales. I gues visiotors try to order without intention to pay for the product :-/
