Hi ,
I want to start my new blog. I want it free. Blogger and WordPress are good but the problem is that there comes blogger.com or WordPress after the URL. I don't like this.Is there any free blogging platform where it does not happen?
#blog #blogger #free #wordpress
  • No that's what happens when it's free, sorry. I'd do Wordpress IMHO.

You can buy your own domain name, and redirect it to blogger.com or wordpress.com

Sorry, but I am really curious why you want it free? Is it because your budget or because you don't know how to set up a site under your own domain? If it is budget than you can have your own domain for less than $5 and hosting also very cheap and affordable...

The best you can do with least budget is, get a .INFO domain (Really very cheap). Host it using blogger or wordpress

If you want a 100% free blog then you will have to use a subdomain, otherwise invest on a domain name and use free blogs from blogger or Wordpress.

If you plan to use your blog for business starting a FREE blog will be a BIG mistake!

Whichever platform you use, you have to abide by THEIR terms of service and if they feel you're going against their terms of service, they will terminate your blog and all the content you've worked so hard to create - without any warning!

And, because it's hosted on their server they actually own YOUR content!

You can start a self-hosted WordPress blog for less than $10 a month, so why would you want to go free when you are so restricted to what you can and cannot do with your blog?

Oh and btw. With free blogs, adding affiliate links and banners, etc is classed as spam and that's not a good thing if you're trying to build a business, I'm sure you'll agree?

Hope that helps with your decision!

Not is not possible but when you registered on Wordpress and blogger, then they give you a free sub-domain. If you don't want a sub-domain then you have to purchases a domain and install a blog website there.

If you want any help then content us.

tbh I wouldn't trust any free host with a main site - if I'm just doing it for a linking strategy, then yea, but the bad thing about anything free is they don't owe you anything - you may wake up one day and find the site deleted as you had a few people report it.

Don't even do the Blogger route - or a free blog for that matter. Invest in a good Wordpress.org blog and start there.

You have to look at every business expense as an investment in yourself and your business. Going the free route is the worse use of your time because it'll take you forever to make any significant income online doing everything for free. Invest in some cheap hosting (Host Gator is under 10 bucks a month) and subscribe to an autoresponder service like Aweber (under 20 bucks a month) so you can build a list.

I wouldn't blog on a free platform. Like they say you get what you pay for. On top of that you don't control the free platform you're blogging on and they can take your blog down for any reason.

Nothing is actually free, there's always a price. I would seriously recommend paying the small payment you need to set up your bog properly. View it as paying for your independence.
