Need help with ebay and craigslist

Once you list an item on Craigslist and Ebay, what is the chance of your item being found by a buyer(if you are just new to selling on these sites and haven't done any social marketing)?

Lets say I make a listing today on both these websites, will I get a sale in the next 3 to 7 days?

      So you mean you don't have to do any Facebook promoting, or YouTube promoting, article marketing, or advertising if you don't want?

      I initially thought for someone to get a sale on Ebay or craigslist, you had to market yourself and get traffic over to Ebay and Craigslist from YouTube or other sources.

        Remember that ebay (and amazon) have done and continue to do all the heavy lifting regarding traffic for the site so why would you spend time/money driving traffic to ebay. You don't have ebays budget and not their expertise.

        Craigslist also has done the heavy lifting with respect to traffic so same comment as above.

        If you want to do some facebook advertising - drive the traffic to YOUR own websit where you customer can buy your product/service.

    before I list anything on ebay I do research first to see if it sold on ebay. depending on the auctions that sold weather it be with bids or a fixed auction i'll base it on that. If there were 5 or more bids on the item i'll list it as an auction. If less than 5 bids i'll take an average of the top 3 sold listings and list it as a fixed auction. My items sold every time for around the amount i researched. So as long as your researching you items before you list them you will know if it is good to list that item or not. As for CL, I haven't used that site yet.

    Depends... for Playstation 4 or Xbox One... expect 3-7 minutes (LOL). On ebay, sales have typically come within a few days. But for lesser known items.... you have to do a bit of promotion to get them noticed.
