Alternative to imovie for MAC

Guys,

I need to do some video editing, not that difficult, basically i need to remove some frames of the video but for that i need to be able to see the time of the video in miliseconds and seconds.

Well imovie is not good for this because when i choose a selection it wont be able to work in that selection.

For example if i have a video with 5 minutes of footage and select 30 seconds of footage in that video the imovie wont allow me to work in those 30 seconds... so its a bit annoying.

Do you guys can give me a good solution that is not too expensive for the mac.

Thanks,
Morg

FOr that level of detail I use Screenflow but of course it isn't really cheap ($99)

Another free alternative that might work is Quicktime. When you open a video with Quicktime there's an option to trim. I've used it and find it adequate for most things but I'm not sure if it will be accurate enough for your use.

You may need to convert the video for use in Quicktime depending on the format it's in now but you can use Smart Converter for that (and yea it's free)

    Good luck

Hi rick, when i was speak about cheap i was refering to solutions that cost more than 300-400 bucks.

So screenflow seems a great solution and if it eorks i believe its cost effective.

      Thanks,
      Morg

        Great Morg

Just to be clear it's really a screen capture software but it can definitely do editing. Take a look at their video demos and tutorials to make sure it fills your needs.

Hmmm. I have been looking for sort of an equivalent to Windows Movie Maker for OS/X, with no such luck. I am using Wondershare Video Editor, but there is a lot it can't do.
