Total noob wanting to learn the right way

Hi, I need a little advice where to go from here. Yes I am one of the people who has not earned much with affiliate marketing. I started last year learning and I kept giving up after buying systems to earn money through warrior forum and never earning from them. In 2011 I graduated with a 1st degree in photography but due to a disability I have been unable to carry on with it, which has been hard to come back from. In between I have set up a LinkedIn account with 7mil business professionals. I have also set up a group on LinkedIn called: work from home recession proof, with 200 followers now after some hard struggle. I have also set up a facebook page too but not many likes yet. A Facebook group called workfromhomecommissions.
I am also posting links to facebook groups daily. Now with one place I have earned $47 in 6month not collected yet haha Now can someone help me with what I am doing wrong? I need the correct products to promote? What do you recommend? I have put 8 hours a day with this at times, I am committed but need the advice and proper guidance.
Thank You
Kevin

Sounds like you need to build an email list if you are doing affiliate marketing.

I have found that social media rarely converts with info products, but works well with email marketing.

We would need more information. So far all you've mentioned is setting up some groups on social media. Have you done any marketing like advertising? What niche, etc.

We can't help you with so little to go on.

The first thing I would do is STOP buying systems to earn money. 99% of the best information is FREE. On Warrior Forum and other successful affiliates.

If you can't make the "free" systems work then you certainly won't make the "cost a ton of money and get rich" systems work.

It sounds like all you're doing is throwing offers in front of people with your hand out.

I would suggest engaging your groups and building trust and credibility with them. Tis will build you a loyal following and repeat customers.

You can go with getting a huge list and selling the numbers or make those numbers targeted leads and repeat customers. Both ways work so either engage the audience you have on a more personal level, or invest in paid traffic to grow your list bigger and bigger and go after a volume of numbers over quality.

    Hope that helps

I'm going to give you the answer. Actually, I'm going to point you to the answer. Alexa Smith is an affiliate marketing genius. She hasn't been around lately but has written tens of thousands of words on the topic on this forum. I'm including a link to her profile.

Go there and check out her posts. She has many posts where she gave numerous links to all her best stuff. I'm not joking when I say that you'd have to pay several hundred dollars for this material all in one bundle.

I assume you're either in the MMO (Make Money Online) market, or the online jobs (telecommuting jobs) market? There are two distinct affiliate product categories for each market, and one affiliate product category may not be effective for both markets -- Let us know a bit more about your target market / industry, and we could perhaps be a bit more specific with our recommendations...

Start building a blog and get a following

Once you get good content ranking start building a list and ask your customers what they want

You can find out on here traffic strategies and writing content but that's what i's do

You say you're putting in 8 hours a day at times... that's a lot of time.

My question is, what are you doing in those 8 hours? My guess is, and this isn't a hit on you, is that it's not INCOME PRODUCING ACTIVITIES... it's probably busy work, which isn't bad, and sometimes is necessary... things like setting up websites, squeeze pages etc...

But what's going to bring you money is INCOME PRODUCING ACTIVITIES.

If you spent 8 hours on an INCOME PRODUCING PLAN, you'd make money.

The key is to create that plan.

Think on what you're trying to do...

Think about what directly brings you money...

And create that plan that you can work each day.

    Are you collecting leads/subscribers?

If not, set up a squeeze page (or a few) and start marketing that squeeze page using free and/or paid traffic methods...

And get good at email marketing.

It's a skill that works... it'll work for years to come... it's worked since I first got started online in 2005.

My advice is to not to do something if it is just for the money. Do it because you love your niche/subject/business and find a way to monetize it.

Personally I love working with a company and seeing them grow using technology. I get the biggest kick from running a month end report and seeing the difference I've made. Woot!

Hey Kevin, if you have the commitment but lack the knowledge you should set your focus on ONE niche and seriously consider hiring a mentor to help you reach the next level.
I did, and it helped me tons!

    Cheers!

At some point didn't you stop and ask yourself if it was a little weird for you to be running these groups when you are a newbie yourself?
