What are the best ways to get free leads?

I know this question is probably asked every hour on the hour but to be honest I don't look at every post so please forgive me.

So anyway, I suppose this is most marketers biggest sticking point and right now it's mine. I know about most of the usual methods but most of them have not been working for me. I have tried traffic exchange sites, solo ads, viral ads, face book. Facebook is actually probably the worst imo. They all just seem to be a waste of time. I know I'm being cynical here but I refuse to give up on this online marketing and money making thing(at least not just yet). Also, I find it very hard to believe that you can just create a new blog every other day or so and just magically get leads. This doesn't seem like something that will happen overnight regardless of method. Paying for these things just seems like an endless money pit to me. So being that I'm rather inexperienced(and no I won't try to deny that)I'm looking for the best ways to get traffic fast with little or no expenses. Please no private messages. Thanks.

One more thing. I do have one method that seems to have a lot of promise but I'm very very new to it and still going though the material. I'm a bit skeptical but we'll see. Regardless, I'd like to use more than one method.

First of all, there is no overnight way to make it in this industry and anyone who claims to is a liar.

As far as blogging, over the course of a few months with a QUALITY post of 1,000 words or more and the majority targeted around buyer keywords WILL MOST CERTAINLY bring you traffic, leads, and authority.

Other than that, to quit Facebook (the biggest traffic pool around) is not in your best interest. There are ways that I use daily to bring in leads from Facebook with very little effort apart from the learning curve of how to prospect for cold leads.

Youtube is another way to get free leads if you learn to optimize your video properly and use sites like SocialAdr for bookmarking. You don't need a strong channel or tons of views, contrary to popular belief, you just need the right method and the willingness to put in the work.

This industry is work and while it's easy to implement it's hard to consistently do so. That's where people fail, that's why people quit, and that's why IM gets a bad rap because everyone is led to believe this is a push-button miracle cure to their problems when in actuality it's harder work kinitially for a much greater reward in the end.

Giving up is the worst thing to do and the only way you'll fail.

    Hope that helps

I would say honestly, product creation.

Create a simple little report, 1 problem 1 solution, type. You can even get some PLR on your chosen niche, rewrite it here and there making sure to put your own spin on it. Then start a blog on your chosen topic, based off the report. Create an opt in form / lead capture page, there are free ones out there you just have to find them.

Drive traffic to it, and rinse and repeat.

Just be aware that Facebook does change its search algorithims from time to time - quite recently updated again, making a lot of posts not show up in the news feed even if you like a page. Trick is to really drill down and target your market. Plenty of info and courses available on the subject - find one by a reputable creator that is current.

    Hi,

You need to focus your time on becoming the "Go To" expert others can trust
rather than someone who just wants to collect leads.

Once you establish yourself as the go to expert you'll naturally attract into
    your business every single day.

    This could be...

    1) Creating a BLOG and adding top tier content to it and collecting
    leads that way.

    2) YouTube videos that position you as someone who is an expert and
someone who people trust and would like to learn more from.

    3) Not someone who asks too many questions at forums about how to
do something you could be helping others with and building your own
    business that way.

It's all speculative to ask which is the BEST way to FREE leads.

There is no such thing as FREE anyway.

    There's a cost either way.

Either with the MONEY you pay for traffic or the TIME you spend
on so called FREE traffic generation methods etc etc.

Ever try posting youtube video tutorials? Even if you don't have expensive video software you can still accomplish this quite easily. You can create a simple how to slide in PowerPoint or OpenOffice, upload it to author stream, and then link to your lead capture form in the comments area. If it's evergreen content, your good to go for a long time!

As said above the vast majority have an online presence in the form of blogs

It's the one way where you can attract and keep customers, especially when they hear you're story and know you are a real human being!

You're primary objective is to build a list and the best way to drive traffic to your blog. Once on there provide good value driven posts that people will enjoy reading. You won't have to put much more effort to convince them to opt-in if your provide awesome value

The best form is ranked content. Although SEO takes a few weeks or months to get results, once your content is ranked, it pulls in steady traffic as long as it's ranked.
