Hey,

Thanks for that.
I must admit sometimes when I'm reading posts I can get a little confused by all the abbreviations.
It's a really helpful post.

Yeah I remember when I first started online, I kept seeing all sort of abbreviations and I kept thinking, "What do hell do they mean? ".

But, I didn't ask what they meant because I didn't want to look like a newb. looll

Anyway, I know all of them now (at least I think). I shared them here so that people can learn them all at once instead of searching for them all over the net.

Hi brian

Yeah that's true but the other ones are still valid

Plus, IMO & IMHO are used by many internet marketers. I think it's good to clarify that they're not related to IM.

Ah, this makes things so much easier...probably going to end up bookmarking this post, hehe. Internet slang and abbreviations vary so much from place to place, some of these could seem like something else and get very confusing.

Seriously, thanks a lot. =)

Yes, I believe that this thread could really help people if they make it "sticky".

Anyway, we'll leave it to the boss. lol

Somewhat used and often thought (not only by Internet Marketers):
BS - If you don't know what this means, check at Wikipedia

---

Others:
AIDA - Attention, Interest, Desire, Action
IBL - Inbound Link
KW - Keyword
LSI - Latent Semantic Indexing
RSS - Really Simple Syndication
WP - WordPress (Blog Tool)
USP - Unique Selling Proposition

BTW (by the way), isn't PPS "Pay Per Sale" and PPL "Pay Per Lead"?

Yeah, just a little mistake. I fixed it now and I added PPL.

Best,
Shane
I always use IMHO as an acronym for In My Humble Opinion.

In My Humble Opinion, in my honest opinion leads one to wonder if the opinions someone communicates just using IMO are less honest than the ones you may express when indicating that this particular opinion should be categorized as an honest one.

Of course In My Humble Opinion is probably also a misnomer. The fact that I/you/we/us have the temerity to offer any opinion whatsoever could be an indication that we offer up our opinion with something less than humbleness.

Now that I'm thinking about it whether or not I should submit this reply has become a personal quandary. After all doing so could bring into question whether or not I'm submitting it with any degree unpretentiousness at all.

Perplexed,
Gene
