Planning to publish a ebook ( essays )

Hi I've written a 20 page essay, not really considered a book yet, but its based on BlackJack, and its general information, but after letting over 20 people read it for free, they've all said it helps them improve them game immensely, whether it comes to bankroll management or what decisions to make etc.

I've been thinking of making a website and marketing it, and selling it. I know the content is worth the money for sure and I"m sure buyers will not be sad.

Where should I start this when I can barely even make a eBay post?

Have you considered marketing it as a kindle book. You won't need a website all you need to do is upload it to the kindle publishing platform.
    It's free to do.
You could do a free promotion and if you are still in contact with those 20 people ask them if they want to download it during the free promotion and leave a review (then is will be a verified purchase review).
As for pricing - ask those who like it what they would have paid for it or look at similar kindle books and see what the price is.

Even with 20 pages, you can turn that essay into a book and sell it on Kindle as kayfrank indicated. You already have a support group with 20 people that can help you sell it. Price according to other books that are similar, then price it for free and let your 20 followers know about it and get them to tell at least one person.

Grab a domain name that suits your nice and build a website with wordpress or any cms that you want to use. Blog and begin to scale that website into an authority about your niche. Get on social media particularly Facebook and start marketing.

Stop everything and go back and write an ad for the book before you do anything else. You will never run the ad, but by writing the ad you will be forced to think of who you want to buy the book and what they would want in it. That way you make sure your book really delivers what the buyers want and you will have a clear idea of who you are marketing to. OK, good luck, Edward Smith.

Don't worry about the length of the book.

If you think it has to be a certain length you will start adding fluff that doesn't need to be in it.
Concentrate on giving the prospect everything he needs to be more successful and no more.

If I played BlackJack, and someone offered me a 1 page strategy to improve my skills or winning ratio, I'd buy it.

Concentrate on actionable advice without any fluff and your customers will come back for more if it works.

    Good luck

Your book may be worth the money even at 20 pages but consumers are biased to equate bulk with value.

Many books have one or a few ideas that could be explained in 20 pages but the book is usually 200+ pages of long-winded explanations and unnecessary examples. This is done because it's hard to sell a couple of paragraphs at a book price.

Could you see a Barnes & Noble filled with 20 page pamphlets priced at $19.95?

You will have to work extra hard to convince consumers that it really is worth the money despite it's lack of bulk.

Your book could be a great giveaway to promote other products and services (if you have them).

Apart from selling it on Kindle you could also offer it on forums dedicated to Blackjack. Since a bunch of people already said the book is good I'm sure their testimonials would help you sell it (along with a good sales pitch ) on related forums.

    Just my 2 cents.

Nowadays with Kindle books, there are many cases where length doesn't seem to be a factor, and there are 10k word 'books' that sell really well, and 50k word ones that don't. It's kinda like with WSOs, sometimes people just want an information laid out for them concisely, not something they will have to spend hours and hours reading.

You have your target audience in mind, and you have a blog and/or social media platform of some kind.
Whether you publish yourself or through the traditional channels, selling enough to become a millionaire is still dependent on something completely outside of your control.
