How do you get webinar viewers?

hpgoodboy is dead on. Don't look for "tricks" just tell your list that you're doing the thing.

If you want to get into some deeper psychology then do this:
1) Do your first webinar but call it a "live coaching event" that you'll only allow 5 people to attend. First five in the door win. The webinar should actually be nothing but coaching. Don't sell anything. Gather "testimonials" of people talking about how much they like the content you gave. (just use Skype conference calling for this)

2) Do another webinar, again call it a "live coaching event" but use GoToMeeting just on the free trial which limits you to I think 20 attendees. Use the testimonials as social proof. Same thing, don't sell anything and at the end get people to talk about how great the event was.

3) Now you have a ton of testimonials on how great your webinars are and now you can shift to just calling them webinars. With each one you use your previous testimonials as social proof. You should have 1/3rd to 50% of your webinars without any sales messages of any kind. It keeps your list really excited about attending yours. In the IM space when I see the word "webinar" the first thing I think of is "sales message pitched live."

Don't make that mistake. Actually do webinars as they were intended. Teach some really good stuff and occasionally with no strings attached at all, it's just some really good info. This way when you do have a webinar where you're going to sell something you'll get many more people attending.

I get webinar viewers by sending emails to my list...

So that should be your first step - build a list.

If you will be having "regular" webinars then you can place a sign up form on the download page after they opt-in. You can also add it as a P.S. link to the welcome email.

Then of course you can also send an email to all subscribers on the day of the webinar.

It's also a good idea to allow your webinar registrants to invite their friends by giving them a link they can share on social media.

There's a learning curve for any traffic generation technique. So just start with one that's salable and you feel comfortable.
