Direct Link Or Build A List - Opinions

Although I'm having success promoting CPA and Clickbank offers through direct linking do you think that success could be enhanced by pushing my traffic to a list first? No something I've thought a great deal about but always hearing about "the money in the list".

It most certainly is. The more you can remind someone of your offer the more likely they will buy. It also helps to have a list of people who you can continue to market to.

Other offers, valuable advice, give them free e-books, anything to put you in a positive light as a good person and someone to trust. People can find your product anywhere from a number of different sources.

If you have those people at your fingertips to be contacted you stand a better chance of increasing your visibility to them and increase your chances of capitalizing on it.

    Hope that helps

Building a list is certainly a good idea. I would say money is not in the list but the relationship you've with them. People buy from people they trust and like. So provide value to your list and they will be your raving fans.

Building a list is a great idea but if you're promoting random cpa products that screw customers over by charging peoples credit cards using trickery or clickbank products that sell a lot of false hope, most of your subscribers will unsubscribe quicker than they subscribed.

If you want to build a quality list of responsive subscribers, be sure to only offer quality products or services that you can honestly say are great.

Yeah, it depends on the kind of product you are promoting. If it's something that people are buying who you think might be interested in a number of related products, there's really no reason not to build a list.

And you can do both, you know. To build the list you need a squeeze page and report or product of value to get them to sign up.
When they get to your landing page for the free report, you can have a CPA offer as a recommendation for them as well.

Plenty of people finance traffic for list building via similar techniques.

Direct linking to an offer rather than to a landing page first.

Lately i've been on the direct linking route. I like it better.... lowers my costs in business, and response rates are pretty much the same.

I agree the money is in the list because of the amount of times you can contact them with different opportunities that you may have, however, unless you create a relationship with them they are not going to buy from you. Think of this as a store that you trade with, you will not buy from them unless they give you good value. In the same way you need to give them something that is of value to them so they will believe that you have their best interest at heart. Some information in a newsletter that will give them better understanding of how to promote what you are selling so they to can make money.

I'd say it depends on the niche. If it's a "one off" niche, where there is not a huge backend potential, I would say just direct link

But build that list whenever you can

    So basically:

    1. Build a list

    2. Build a relationship

    3. Promote good products

    4. Enjoy the money!
