The Disappointment of Google

I have been reading this forum for a while. It's very good, and I feel like I am a part of it already without ever actually having posted! I've used tips and things that I have picked up on here, for my website. Anyways, I thought I better finally join and moan about google... Why is it so god damn hard to get traffic! I'm on page 1 of a 7,000 a month search term but it only means 2 or 3 views a day (if that) alas, if only i had known before i set off on this journey.
