INTERNET MARKETING

So me and my partner are promoting a product from clickbank. We plan to set up a mini-site and build an email list. The mini site will feature content on the concerned topic. My partner has asked me to start penning a one week email course for subscribers and hope to direct them to the merchant product page. This is the first time we are doing this and I have so many questions. Can I simply do pure email marketing without building an authority site? Where can I read up more on actionable tips to go about affiliate marketing?

p.s. and yes you can just build a list without the authority site but a mini site to generate leads would be a good idea

With all of Googles updates and penalties nowadays building an authority site if its in a competitive niche can be very time consuming so you have to take into consideration the risk verse reward thing

My advice concentrate the bulk of your time on the projects that make you the most money listbuilding is always #1 on my list.

I would highly recommend you do both. I feel like it would be an incredible challenge to build a successful business without a website.

Besides, getting a decent-looking site up pretty quickly is fairly cheap and simple. There's plenty of good-looking themes for sales online. And hosting can be found cheap.

Go for both.

I personally would do both. You can then have the lead capture on your main site as well.

Email Marketing is very powerful and can bring in fast profits - building a site on the other hand is a process but it totally pays off since at some point it will bring you passive income.
So I guess if you have the long term goals in mind I'd agree with the Warriors above - do both!

The No. 1 reason why most suggest list building and email marketing is that it's your property for many years to come and Nobody can touch it. That's not the case of an authority site, it requires the mercy of Google or other search engines which we can't rely up on.

  I'd build a small site so that you are able to refer customers to it etc, but concentrate on building that list.

Do both, you will make more money that way. You can direct people to buy the product on your website, and you can also direct people to sign up to an optin on your site to.

You can also build a squeeze page and direct traffic to that from forums etc.
