How often can you post ads on craigslist?

I've had some nice success cleaning out my closet on craigslist, but right now, I've got lots of stuff to clear out.

Their guidelines say you can only post every 48 hours, but yesterday after I posted one ad, I added another, thinking I could save it as a draft and wait for the time to run, but it seems that it went live. Anyone know what's the "real deal" there?

Here what I've noticed in my experience. You can actually post up to three times a day. Be careful not to spam though or they'll start deleting your ads and eventually prevent you from posting.

By Craigslist rules you can post an ad in your local area and renew that same ad after 48 hrs. Renewing takes that ad and moves it to the top of the list again. That can be done for 30 days when the ad expires. You can only have one ad running at a time for something. You can edit that ad if you feel you need to change something. So you don't create a new ad you just renew the ad you have, edit it if you like and run it, if necessary for up to 30 days when the ad automatically expires and is removed. After it expires you can create the ad again if needed.

You can have more than one ad if it is for something different. You want to advertize in the correct category so you may have an ad for jewelry in the jewelry category, another ad for the clothes category etc.

You can have your listing deleted by Craigslist staff, they also have an automated system they use or most likely by regular people using Craigslist that see your ad and flag it. If they see something that is prohibited to list or see an ad for the same thing listed more than once from the same or different towns you may be flagged. One person can't remove your ad alone, it takes multiple people flagging your ad.

FYI, " You can actually post up to three times a day" is not allowed and may be deleted. Depends if the person viewing your ad sees it as an actual item for sale or if it's for affiliate marketing; network, or multi-level marketing; pyramid schemes which are prohibited. Also Craigslist defines SPAM anything miscategorized, overposted, cross-posted, or non local content.

Remember, not all ads work all the time in all markets, so testing is critical to maximizing your returns. Be smart. The reality is that with proper testing and tracking, you can profitably generate lots of leads by making informed decisions. Bottom line, you should be investigating all of your options

Less is more. Keeping it simple takes time and effort.

    Hi
I just would like to ask you does the whole classified ads marketing really work. I`m not asking for specifically Craiglist, but I ask for the process entirely.
I`m focusing on another marketing strategy and I`m actually thinking about starting with another way to bring targeted visitors to my websites.

The answer is 3 ads per days. But with the correct categories and content. If not, CL will ghost your ads or prevent you from posting.

    • The idea is not how often you can post ads, its about posting legit and unique content.

Make sure that you use multiple proxies and pvas and good content for your ads each time you post. That helps in getting the ads live.
