How to drive traffic by blogging?

    well write new things on interesting subjects, that usually brings in traffic that pretty much covers the blogging. Just write about news in your niche or something

      While I like to agree, this isn't usually the case. You can write so many wonderful posts but at the end of the day how are you going to get it out to people? It's just like singers. There are some WONDERFUL talented singers out there, but how will they get recognized if they don't reach out to anyone or market themselves out there?

      I bet there are people out there that have written a ton of wonderful posts but don't have any traffic whatsoever because they don't know the next step which is "marketing" / "branding" their name / site / blog.

      So I think what the OP is trying to figure out, exactly what are some steps he needs to take to start getting traffic after posting? I always hear this from people.. "Just keep posting and you'll get traffic." That's usually not the case. You got to get it out there, and hopefully it will create a snow ball effect.

    1) Target the blog content to a correct audience
    2) Add graphic, photo and illustrations inside your blogs

    Look up Derek Halpern's drafting technique. The best way to grow your audience and get traffic is by convincing other bloggers to send you traffic. It's all about incentivizing why they should send you traffic. Anyways yeah do some research on this and you won't be disappointed.

    Hey Cheehien

    Firstly, when you blog I highly recommend you do research first and see what people are trying to figure out and what solutions they seek through forums etc. This way you know what to write about in order to entice your readers. Do not write a blog just for the sake of it, make sure it is a quality blog!

    Blogging comes in 2 forms:
    1) Value driven posts such as tutorials, how to etc
    2) Keyword posts which get traffic to your website - in this case you want to optimize your content and make sure you sprinkle at least 3 main target keywords throughout your content.

    Now I suggest that if you want traffic you blog every day and use some free traffic generation sources such as blog commenting. You can always ask me for some more free tips if you need. Happy to help

    It's rather easy, actually. Build a NICE website with NICE branding and a REAL domain name. Create a matching Facebook page and share your website content on your page.

    Run a proper paid "like" campaign. Five bucks a day should suffice. If done right, you should be able to get REAL likes for $0.05-$0.10 each. After a few weeks, you should have hundreds or thousands of REAL fans and they WILL come to your site via your shared links.

    Easy peasy.

      Is it still a viable option to drive traffic from Facebook fan page? The organic reach on Facebook is just about a few percents.

    Making money blogging comes with time. You need to build up authority (write valuable content daily, or close to daily) and have content people LOVE.

    Whatever your niche, just make sure you're answering questions, solving problems, or making a difference in it. Otherwise you'll spin your wheels.

    Other than that just make sure you "sell" through your blog as a solution to whatever problem you are looking to solve.

    There are a lot of ways. You can use paid traffic such as solo ads or facebook ads. Or you can go with the free way such as blog commenting, SEO, twitter, etc.

    Try with social media. I have very good experiences with Pinterest - a great traffic source! facebook is not bad. What is your niche?
