Looking for a place to start.

Hello. I am new to this forum and hope I am posting this in the right place. If not, I apologize in advance.

I have been looking for a while now at many opportunities. Clickbank interested me the most. I went ahead and signed up and have watched many of their videos, and browsed the marketplace. I even chose a niche.

However, I am not completely sure this is the route I wanna go.

Basically, I am looking for a good online business to start. Something that shows you step by step what to do. Little to no investment.

I figure you guys are the experts. If you could simply point me to a good opportunity to explore, I would be very grateful. I have gotten tired of all the "100% Free" crap I see everywhere. Where you read a long page, watch videos, and then towards the end, you find out it's not free at all.

Just want something honest. It's not that I wouldn't invest a little money to help my business succeed, I just feel like 99% if the sites I have looked at are crap. Most leave me wondering, "How do you actually make money? What is the product you are selling?"

Right now, as I said before, I am looking into Clickbank. If anyone has any advice, tips, or even a different business altogether, please let me know.

Thank you.

I understand exactly what you mean.

But Clickbank is simply a "Middle Man", they provide products for Internet Marketers like us to sell. But with that said there are many middle men out there.

But There are many decent products out there for you to choose from, but the hard part is sifting through all the Junk.

But what are you looking for exactly?

CB is a good place to start and figure out things before you finally start selling your own products.

    1. For Cb, find a niche that is in demand and has a couple of different products in it.

    2. Check out individual products and pick one that you think you'd be comfortable with in the long run. Check the gravity, product page and also the product itself before starting to build a site around it.

    3. Once you have the product, draw up a promotional plan. Youtube videos, PRs, review blogs, Articles in directories, forum posts, FB ads...there are thousands of ways to promote CB products. The strategy would depend on your goals, target audience and budget (both time and money).

Now you see no one here would spoon feed you and create you an online empire for free - bitter but true. The above is a basic outline that people have had success with.

You will need to take a moment to first figure out in your head what it is that you want (don't say ONLY MONEY). And, how much effort can you keep putting in on a daily basis without fail. Once you have those answers -trust me - the rest will fall in place. Once again - just don't go after the "money".

I think you have things slightly backwards.

I suggest you work on the skill set first, then the product selection.

As a simple suggestion, do a quick search for Zach Crawford, blast through his bootcamp training, and as you do the steps, fill in the products that work for you as you create your biz.

That way you'll have a solid foundation plus have all the pieces in place to leverage your work.

Probably the two biggest ideas you need to focus on first are:

#1 - How do I provide more value than anyone else offering the same product?

#2 - How am I going to drive traffic into my sales funnel?

Read that again, sales funnel, not sales page. If you don't know the difference, go back to suggestion one, get into that free bootcamp.

WR, whatever you most love doing, as far as your interests, passions....that is an awesome place to start. Build around a niche you feel passionate about, then follow the above advice. Work off of your feelings though; taking a logical approach can kill ya, but your intuition will never lead you astray.

You will feel lost at first and it is normal. Read on and push through the feeling because if you started anything else but this line of work you would feel just as overwhelmed at first. And stop looking for the magic formula. Most of us got here after having made a lot of mistakes along the way.

You are looking to be spoonfed. Let me tell you a big secret many fail to mention.

Nobody will give you anything for free man. Even if you think you're getting it for free, you really aren't as they most likely collected your email address or other contact information.

The real secret to making it online is to use your brain and come up with something nobody else has. Of course that's if you're willing to repeat what everyone who has a stable income has done.

If you really want to make total bank, you come up with a way to make a product better/more robust... or in total, make your own new product the world will fall in love with.

Let me end by saying asking: Do you want to promote other people's clickbank products, or your own?

If you wanna set up a real business and not just a hobby than make a commitment to give it what it needs. I know everybody wants to start without spending money or just wanna give it a try and if it works start to investing some money. But let me tell you one thing. You can't build a business without investing money. Sure when you build a IM business you won't need that much like with a brick and mortar business but to make it a real business you will have to spend some. I hope you are aware of that.

Like I said make a commitment and give it all you have. Start with buying your own domain and building a blog. I don't know what skills you have, if you good with writing or building websites or whatever but concentrate on what you can master it and start teaching or selling your skills.

I do realize that I will have to spend SOME money. Domain name, probably aweber, etc...

I decided to quit smoking. I went out and bought an e-cigarette to help and haven't smoked a real one for 36 hours now. This alone will put an extra 120 a month in my pocket to use towards my business. Not to mention the health benefits.

Once again, thanks to all of you. Much love.

I kind of know what you are going through. I started my research to find an internet business to market on April 4, 2014. After googling many affiliate programs to get feed back on their reliability I finally settled on one that is relatively new with no negative reviews.

After settling on one company marketing became the issue. I have seen it advised that good marketing budgets run anywhere from between $500 to $5000. If you have a lot of spare time you could research the free marketing techniques. If you don't have a lot of spare time it might cost a lot more than $120 a month to launch an effective marketing campaign.

        Best of luck to you...

    Crap
    Until
    Success

The first thing you need to do is get out of the "little to no investment" mindset. You're investing in yourself to win, not the product to sell.

There are ways to drive traffic for next to nothing and do well initially, but you need a few things to get started (just like a brick and mortar business) and they cost money.

Coming up with money to get started correctly is easier than anything else you're going to face in this industry. I went through hell and back and way past in debt to get started.

The costs usually aren't all that much but with no investment comes no reward. It's just like anything else.

That being said, you can create your own e-books or products, sell clickbank products, sell physical products (t-shirts, stickers, etc.), or sell mid to high ticket affiliate programs. Anything you choose is going to have costs associated with it.

The warriors are very helpful provided you the best advice already so I just want to quote that part of the message you have. Do you mean the sites where the people post their products are crap? If that's what you mean please allow me to share my thoughts on that.

A blog or a website where you post your products you're selling is an incredible platform for sharing your ideas, connecting with people and growing an audience. The same is true of podcasting, YouTubing, or any other place you might publish content for free.

But the Blog itself is not a Business.

Giving away free content isn't a business. It's a tool for building influence. Don't count on turning that influence into sponsorships or advertising dollars.

You'll need a more direct plan for earning an income if you want your blog to pay off.

It all depends on your income goal but from experience investing money is key in order to build your business fast online. If you choose affiliate marketing then I personally think you are making a good choice. Just be sure you are passionate about the product and that you will give valuable reviews or write valuable content for your readers.

Also if you want to start on the right pathway I suggest 2 common mistakes a lot marketers make from the start:

    1) Specialize in 1 Traffic generation source only!
    2) Build your list and send them valuable content everyday and pitch on the 7th or 8th e-mail as they would have started earning your trust by then
    3) Be accessible and let people reach out to you so you come across as a credible source (not just trying to swallow their money like those marketers you spoke about )

    First, do a market research

Once you know your niche, choose a product that you want to promote or you can create your own.

Then think of a way to sell your product (create your website then promote your site)

Always give value and be an authority in your niche. Create relationships with your clients as well. Cheers!

Your questions and concerns are valid and I will post my thoughts on this process as I basically went back to basics as I have gone down the hard road and lost a lot of money and time learning things which were basically a bunch of rubbish and short term "shiny things" which will make me thousands of dollars for no effort.

    Write down the answers to the following;
    1. What are your interest? Health, Making money, Dating, Food, Cars, Boats, Animals, Sports.
    2. What type of income strategy do you want? Your own product or affiliate marketing. (Based on your comments affiliate marketing)
    3. Look at how much money you want to earn. Be specific. $300 a month, or $1000?
    4. What do you know about internet marketing?
    5. How technically minded are you or do you need to ask someone to help setup sites?
    6. What is your budget you can work with to pay for things like hosting, autoresponders and some advertising once setup.
    7. Have you got some money set aside for training an education.
    8. What is your long term goal with this?

These are some of the questions you have to have very clear answers to to help guide your decision making.

Do NOT just go and buy any program for training etc.

Do not buy software or solutions which will do things automatically for you as they are normally short term and can cause you problems with Google when you start looking into backlinking and SEO.

This one can be a bit time consuming. But create gmail account, then make sure you start reading the TOS for things like SEO and backlinking and blog content.

Regardless of what people try and say find out what google says if in doubt dont do it. Take your time and find out the right information before doing anything that will require Google's approval for your sites etc.

The next thing to do is read the posts on the following sites. Quicksprout.com and OKdork.com. These 2 sites will give you more information on what is right and works than a lot of people out there.

Take at least a month to do reading and gain understanding before embarking on a training program. If you want more advise and guidance then post again and I will share.

If you want a good solid beginners marketing course which is not too expensive go to Chris Farrell membership site. The content is broken down into chunks which are easy to learn and I learned a couple of things which I will be using soon and I have been making internet marketing mistakes for years.

Before you decide on anything think carefully about what you will gain out of it and how you can apply it.

    Hi there,
If you are going to pick a CB product, in order to sell it, you need to know something about it. Pick something you are interested in and wouldn't mind buying to test it out.

You have to be able to tell your customers what you like best about it and what are some of it's drawbacks. No product is perfect and if you make it sound like it's perfect then, there is a credibility issue.
Good luck in what you choose and be picky!
If you have any questions, just message me and I'll do my best to steer you in the right direction.
In my humble opinion, you should be building a list, no matter what you do.

The hard truth - not everything works for everyone and that includes traffic and the niche itself.

"If you make money your God, it'll plague you like the devil".

So, don't go after the money. Find something that you'd be comfortable working on day after day tirelessly without it becoming a boring chore. Once you start achieving the non-financial goals, the money will follow.

    1. Pick a niche
    2. Pick a product
    3. Ask yourself why you think its good. If you don't have at least 3-4 "non-financial" points in favor of your decision, go back to points 1 and 2.

    4. Work out a budget - both time and money and also what you can give to the system without having to buy it.

    5. Based on your budget and niche, build up a traffic system that you'd be comfortable with in the long run.

I know this might sound "too obvious", but at the end of the day YOU need to figure it out. No one would hand you over a success blueprint just like that and even if someone did, you might OR MIGHT NOT be as successful with it.
