Possible to use one autoresponder account (Aweber/GetResponse) for different sites/niches?

Long time listener, first time caller...great forum, everyone. Learned a lot over the past few weeks in starting my journey into IM. Impressive how patient and helpful everyone is, even with the most unusual of questions.

I think I have a relatively easy one - is it possible to have one autoresponder account, such as Aweber or GetResponse, with one associated monthly fee, yet be able to use it for different sites? Could the opt-in be set up per site so that subs end up in segregated lists I can market to separately down the road? I'm looking to launch a few small niche sites at once, completely different genres (a handful of genuine interests I have, not just chasing the popular ones) and keep my initial (and ongoing) investment low. Believe me, I completely understand you have to spend money to make money, not looking to do this for free (I've learned from experience in other areas that you truly to get what you pay for; free in the long run isn't free), but I'd certainly like to play it smart and cost-effective.

On a slightly separate note, I see almost unanimous preference here in WF for Aweber and GetResponse; I use MailerMailer for another business I have, and MailChimp for a hobby, but neither seem to offer what AW/GR do for the IM field, so I'm probably going to use AW/GR. Not to stir the pot, but would I be wrong in choosing either AW/GR? Would one be better than the other given my separate niche idea?

Thanks, you guys rock - truly an inspiration. Can't stop reading the boards.

Yes, you can use multiple sites with the same account.

I've used Aw, GR and Mailchimp and I think (just my opinion) mail delivery is much better with AW and GR. With mailchimp sometimes I've had issues with mails not hitting inboxes.

Yes, you can use your autoresponder for as many sites/niches as you want. I use aweber and do that. You just create a new List for any site/niche you want, then embed a form for THAT list only onto your site or wherever. You'll end up with multiple lists, each of which can have it's own autoresponding series completely separate from all others. So you could easily create a list for iphone stuff and another list for baby shoes, and market to each separately. By the way, you can also (at least with aweber), set up a rule that anyone who gets signed up for ONE list gets signed up for another automatically. The way I've utilized that is to have one big master list. Anyone who signs up for one of my lists gets added to my master list.

Awesome, thanks guys - sort of what I suspected, but wanted to be sure. And with Mailchimp, I've had good success in that hobby thing using it for a small list and they have nice templates, but no autoresponder (on the free account), and it seems they frown upon affiliate marketing.

And if I'm going to do this IM thing full-force, I'll do it the right way. Appreciate the advice!
