Creating My First WSO

I am thinking about creating my first WSO. It will be an ebook that has about 6 to 10 pages on creating adult sites.

There are no OTO's with this WSO. Well at least not yet. I might create an update that the previous purchaser will get the copy for free.

My questions.

Who do I send review copies to?

Is sending out review copies a good thing?

What are the requirements to be able to list a WSO?

How much should I try charge for this WSO?

Where can I get an ebook cover made? Do I need one?

I am not trying to make a killing with this WSO. Just tired of seeing other adult niche WSOs that promise hundreds of dollars a day for a brand new site that is not true. It takes a lot of time and patience to make that type of money.

Yes, especially if you are not "known" as a WSO seller, plus it gives buyers confidence if they see reviews from members in good standing.

You have to join the Warroom
And then pay to list your WSO

Good because for some reason people think launching a WSO is a fast path to riches. Not all WSO's do well...

As long as you add value to it it should do well.. Also, try to make presence for yourself here in the forum.
I wouldn't release a WSO without at least 100 posts in the forum, try to answer people's questions on your niche or just about anything you feel you have knowledge on.
This area of the forum is a good place to start.

Actually, I'd love to hear more about "review copies" as well.

I'm looking to release a WSO soon and I hadn't even thought about doing that beforehand.

I send review copies to trusted warriors. People that I have done business with or that I know are trustworthy.

Having a respected warrior review your ebook will add a lot of credibility to your sales copy.

You need to be a warrior room member to list a wso.

The rule is that you have to sell the ebook at a cheaper price than price it would be if someone was to buy it somewhere else.

You can get an ebook cover made by typing in "ebook cover" in google. You can also get an ebook cover created at fiverr.com

You don't need one but it is up to you.

If you want the ability to have a successful WSO then you HAVE to make it something affiliates will want to promote. If all you have to offer is one ebook then you won't get anyone promoting it. Affiliates want to see a full backend in place so they can earn decent money per person they send to your offer.

Without affiliates you will struggle to make much traction at all.

Now this is a VERY interesting post. Notice that I've never done a WSO , but it is somewhere playing in my head for the future. But before doing so, I would like to grasp the details.

I THOUGHT, that a WSO was just something (a course, book video or whatever) that someone put up for sale. People that are interested, click on buy and that's it.

Your reply SEEMS to indicate that that is NOT the way it works. It seems to imply that someone puts up a WSO to find affiliates who are interested in ALSO selling the same product for a nice commission. And that the direct sales are just a 'by product'. And that's a whole other story. Because then the obvious question comes up: Why would someone put it up here as a WSO and not directly on an affiliate network???

      Can you expand on that?

      Thank you

To be honest.. I wrote a 25,000 word book over the last few days. When I was done with it, I asked myself the following question: "Should I put it on Warrior Forum as a WSO or Amazon's Kindle Platform?".

Long story short, I put it on Amazon and have allowed it to be free for the next week. Just yesterday I added it and I already have 258 downloads and reviews about how it's a really good read. Food for thought.

I can 100% promise that Kindle is the 100% golden ticket to easy riches, if you know how to use it right.

Hello, I published my 1st book a couple of weeks ago on Amazon. Got 1000 FREE downloads in 3 days. Now that's nice to get your ranking up. But that's about it. As an afterthought I wouldn't do that anymore, and I would limit it to 2 days. My next book has just been published and will go for the next 2 days for free. Remember that you only have 5 days in a 90 period timeframe for a free offer. So if you consume these 5 days with your first shot, you have to wait 3 months to give it another try. Maybe food for thought for your next book.

And as far as your last sentence is concerned: I don't know where you got those 100% from. For me, publishing a book is a business. I don't know beforehand if it will run or not. But if you are somehow 100% sure that it will work, that gives you a great piece of mind.

I have scheduled to crank out 1 book every 3 weeks for the next 10 titles. I count that on these 10, 5 will do nothing, 3 will do something and 2 will bring in some cash. No, I'm not a pessimist but a realist.

      Regards and keep writing.

There are at least a dozen ebooks on "how to" run successful WSOs for sale on this forum. I strongly suggest you pick one or two up. Which should you buy? Buy one from someone who's had WSOD or JVZ product of the day or whatever they call their daily winner.

I did not think about having affiliates. This is something to think about. Thank you!

        Alternatives to WSO

Clickbank - costs you $50 to publish and you'll need a website with a sales letter and thank you page.

There are other sites of similar ilk which a bit of research will find, I'm sure.

Website with a squeeze page (because you want the same buyers to look at your next product in the same niche). Obviously then you'd have to look at traffic methods to get the right people to your site. Go for quality in your niche as opposed to a huge quantity of general traffic.

Put your ebook on Kindle with Amazon or Smashwords for everything else - again other ebook sites are available. Make it longer (at least 20 pages sized 6x9) and you can do a print on demand version at CreateSpace. Some people still like paper books and you have a physical product that people can by from the site or from you if you want to hold stock. (Good if you do talks, face to face demos or classes).

The bottom line is... Don't limit your thinking. There's always another way.

        Regards,

First off, you need to be thinking about creating a product, not a WSO. If it won't sell outside this forum, it is a project, at best. You do not want to rely on any single site which you don't own, including this one, for too much of your income.

Steve makes some good suggestions in this regard.

To offer review copies, see this post: http://www.warriorforum.com/wanted-m...-reviewed.html

I strongly recommend you have some stiff criteria for reviewers. Otherwise, you're going to end up passing them out to freebie seekers and pirates, and you'll waste a lot of time.

Also, look for real reviews, not automatic testimonials. Consider all the feedback, and make adjustments to the product if you get valid and helpful suggestions.

No funnel. Great idea. Throw away one of the cornerstones of selling a product. After all what do successful marketers know.

There are people who do nothing but reviews of products or who do product reviews for side income. For example myself. I do product reviews. Each one goes to 2000 people. As for if its a good idea? Well in my case that depends. If its a good product then yea cause you will get sales. If its junk then no, because I will tell the truth.

This is a stupid question. How much should I charge for my thing? Set your own price. If you dont know how to set a price then you shouldn't be making a product yet.

Good because you wont make a killing. Ill estimate a 70% chance that you dont make back the $80 it will cost you to do the WSO. If you do Ill estimate a 90% chance that you dont make 25+ sales and a 99% chance you dont make 50+ sales
