How To Use Forums To Generate Traffic???

Hi everybody.
I'm new in the internet marketing.
I'm trying to generate traffic using the good all FORUMS. I'm in the niche of Computers & Electronics devices.
I understand the whole process on how to do it. But...
It seems as though FORUMS nowadays don't let you put a link back in your signature or even your signature at all. :confused:
I've signed up with a bunch of COMPUTER FORUMS and every time I post a new thread either they don't let me post my signature or they eliminate the link back in my signature.
so; therefore, how do I use THE GOOD ALL FORUMS to generate traffic to my website if forums don't let you post a link back to whatever you want to send traffic to.
I'm a little confuse. :rolleyes:
I have a feeling that I might be doing it wrong. That's way I'm reaching to Experts here to help me out.
Any tips, suggest, advices that would be very helpful to me. Because I know there is a way to it.
