How 'often' do you Broadcast offers to your list? - Be honest

Email broadcastes are great for getting spikes of income, if done right, but you shouldn't just promote for the sake of it.

how often do you send broadcast offers to your list ?

Be honest email marketers with lists, how often do you email your list promotion of offers to make some spurts of income, from these broadcastes?

how many times a year?

how frequently,

how many months apart per each broadcaste?

For eg, sending one broadcaste email broadcasted every 3 weeks, which will be promoting a different product each time, to a list of buyers

NOTE - I am asking about broadcastes - where you hit the broadcaste button... and Not asking about autoresponder series sequences, where you set and forget them, so asking about broadcastes onloy.

Biggest thing I've learned is... Always Be Selling.

    But it's done differently nowadays.

You've got to provide some good content...

And you've got to build a relationship with your list in order to be around next year.

I broadcast to my list 365 days a year... well, minus Sundays as I take that day off.

I send emails (or try to) daily...

But this doesn't mean that I'm promoting something daily. I typically only promote 1 product a week (if that) and it's usually mine.

Some folks don't like daily emails so having a back up that they can subscribe to like a weekly digest or something will help take care of those folks.

    Cheers,
    Coby

I usually broadcasts twice every day, but segment the list so the folks that opened the emails on the first broadcasts won't see it the second time around.

Great strategy - does your autoresponder service have that functionality built in, to resend at a later time to those who didn't open, or are you doing it manually through a report? If the former, which autoresponder do you use that has that?

Choose 'Subscribers' from the bar at the top.

Then 'Select field' > Choose 'message opened' or 'message not opened'

Click the blank space to the right it will load up the emails you've sent

        Choose broadcast or follow up

        Pick the email subject

        Then click 'search'

It will bring up every subscriber who opened / not opened that email depending on what you chose.

Then a new bar will pop up below 'Save as segment' and enter a segment name and click 'save'.

        Then click 'messages' > 'broadcast'

        Write your new broadcast email.

When you get to the 'publishing' screen on the right hand side choose 'send to segment' and from the drop down menu find the segment you just created.

It will only send to that segment.

Only works for broadcast messages and not follow up.

        All clear?

How about asking the question a little differently? Like....

If You Made $200 - $300 on every broadcast delivered to 1,000 names on your list... How many times and how often would you mail?

How much of that $200 - $300 profit would you invest into acquiring another 1,000 leads to send your broadcast to?

What if you knew that you could do the above for $15.00 ??? But there is a catch....

Instead of growing a list or buying / renting Solo ads, you had software that would give you free leads for life that included phones numbers as well as names and emails... and instead of doing an email broadcast... you sent voice mail broadcasts to them instead?

How often would you send a voice broadcast if you had limitless leads to contact?

          Cheers,
          SteveSki

If you have an email schedule for your list then that is a worry.

I only ever email my list when I have something important to tell them or something I truly feel is worth recommending to them. So there is no set period of time or number of emails per week.

I broadcast my list every day but not to pitch no I build trust and a relationship with them. If I have to sell something I sent them to my blog or a video what I made about the product or service. But to be honest I just promote 3-4 products I really believe in and pitch my list with it just 2 times a months.

Why is everyone seemingly obsessed with 'broadcasts'.

Sure I send them but 99% of my emails are follow up emails in my autoresponder.

For some reason a lot of people think that just sending broadcasts are better.

But the problem with broadcasts are you're only sending them to the people who are on your list at that exact moment.

Someone who joins at any point after you've sent it will never see it which is a bit of a waste tbh.

You spend ages crafting an email and then it gets sent out once and then never seen again.

I prefer to add follow up emails to my AR so that whenever you join my list you see all those valuable and helpful emails that I spent time crafting.

It's a great way to get 'passive' traffic and sales, build up a relationship with your audience, drive visitors back to your site etc.

I might send out a broadcast once every week or two then there may be a re-send to people who opened / unopened.

Great strategy - does your autoresponder service have that functionality built in, to resend at a later time to those who didn't open, or are you doing it manually through a report? If the former, which autoresponder do you use that has that?
Aweber has that feature and I'm sure every serious AR would too.

You simply create a subscriber segment based on 'Unopened Message X' and then send to that segment.

You can also send to people who opened a certain email or clicked / not clicked a certain link.

I have a forum with 76,000 registered members and I haven't sent them a single email yet...I'm too scared too lol. I'll have to first invest in a list clean up, and then quite a bit on a email service. My list however is not the IM niche (more teenage girls/diet niche) so will probably not be that lucrative. But this thread has been helpful in terms of understanding the frequency to send when/if I do start.

This is email marketing we are talking about, right?

Emailing everyday has made a massive difference compared to a few times here and there

      What are you scared of?

They signed up to your forum because they like it a lot - they aren't likely to be made that you're emailing them assuming you deliver value.

It won't be lucrative if you never email them.

Why broadcasts every day though? Why not set a follow up series?

Much less work for you in the long term and emails don't get wasted by only being seen by who's on your list at that present time.

Having to craft new broadcasts every day would be quite frustrating.

for me I would say when it comes to communicating with your subscribers then Quality must be your major concern. You need to promote ONLY solution that will help them not only to make money.

Now don't get me wrong Of Course you need to make money but the point is to build a relation with your subs. or even fall in love with them ( that's what I do)

    Cheers

I email them twice per day. I email first at 9am in the morning and then I mail a 6pm. I have found these are the best times to mail and so you can get the most out of you list.

I would email as much as your customers want, if its a freebie list hammer it until people buy, if they buy put them on a buyers list and treat them like gold.

Being on the receiving end of many of those emails, I have to say that more than once a day is one too many times. I'll stick with a list for a daily email but if I get more than one a day, I'm outta there. Weekly, or 2-3 times a week is more acceptable to me, as a subscriber.

My business model requires that i email everyday or atleast every other day.. All are broadcasts.

I never promote products inside of my emails, I tell well crafted stories that create curiosity...or the desire to learn more about a problem.

What happens after that, well thats the $200,000/annum question now isn't it!
