Start a New Online Company or Brand Myself?
Hello Warriors,
Recently, some warrior gave me some great information with regards to monetizing my content.
Now, I was hoping for some advice regarding online branding.
Here is my situation...
I am undecided as to branding myself as an expert under my own name (I have written 14 education related books and I have my own TV show in a major city) or branding myself under a company name.
If I brand myself under my online business, I can monetize my site with affiliate programs, my books, and physical objects via. café press etc..
If I promote myself under my name, I will focus on delivering mostly free information with some affiliate programs in order to position myself as the expert.
The monetization plan with the company site is straightforward: I monetize the site. The monetization with the self branded site is different. That is, I am 'hoping' to become noticed so that people will be coming to me for interviews, do media shows, sponsorship, etc...
Why am I hoping for this? Well, recently, I had a lawyer see my content online and approach me to be partners in a large international project. Unfortunately, without it being his fault, the project fell through but I saw the potential.
