business yearly income

Hi all,

Want to start selling web services to some businesses B2B - would like to be able to see if they can afford it first before contacting them. From what I have seen, people seem to charge no lower than $1000 with an upper range of $3000. There was a guy on Youtube (Mike Locke) who suggested $2500 to start off with for mom and pop stores.

Of course, one must be sure they can afford it in the first place. I would go off of the way an office looks as an indication - but - I am not sure that this is a 100% qualifier.

Is there some place where one can find out (consistently) what a business makes on a yearly basis? Maybe that would be a bit more accurate.

TIA

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. You want to be able to find out what a business makes to see if they can afford your services???

You won't, unless the company is publicly traded (on the stock exchange), then that info is made public. But small mom and pop businesses have no obligation to release their annual income to anyone aside from the IRS.

You'll need to market your business with ads, a good website, email list, etc. Get your name out there.

Edit: The look of an office is not an indicator of how well a business does. I've worked in some pretty crappy offices that brought in millions of profit/year. Like the old saying goes: don't judge a book by its cover.

There's no way to truly know that unless they're publicly traded.

The closest way I could think of is for you to target franchises that have high buy-ins - that way you know the owner has a good amount of money to work with (assuming they didn't spend it all getting started).

You should really post this in the Offline Marketing section here: Offline Marketing Discussions

I'd go with under $1,000, to drum up business.
