Best way to find commission only sales reps

Hi everyone.

I'm interested in finding commission only sales people for our SEO business based in countries other than the USA. We find ourselves quite busy lately (which is of course a good thing!) and we'd like to start getting clients from Asia or Europe. I currently find myself too busy getting clients from the USA and although it's going well there's still room to expand into other countries.

The commissions are a decent pay and we genuinely believe that the product we sell has a huge benefit to potential clients. It's just finding them in certain locations that's proving to be difficult.

I've been on freelancer.com but have't really had any luck. Most websites i visit are trying to charge me up to $2000 just to get some commission only sales people to get in contact with me which is just ludicrous. If anyone can offer any advice it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks, Luke.

Post a job ad with a detailed job description. There are many sites where you can advertise employment offers for free (i.e., free classifieds), and trade-specific specialty forums for SEO. Also place job ads on your own website (i.e., make a "Careers" tab, or a display ad with "We're hiring", etc.). You may even try responding to some of the better spam offers you get in your own email with a counter-offer for employment.

I am a newbie. If you are looking for online reps, you can try Clickbank and see if they can bring affiliates to you.

If you are looking for field reps, posting to classified ads work. You may not want to indicate that it is a commission only job at first. You probably want to generate the leads and explain later when you follow-up with a phone call. This gives you a chance to use you excellent sales skills to explain how the position works and get the individual to have an interest.

You may want to try a co-op program with someone on your postings to decrease the cost. Free ads are good; however, the paid ads on big job boards are better.

    Talk to you later!

I used to do this back in the corporate world. Posting ads rarely attracts good sales talent because good sales people are in such high demand.

I found my best sales people by having my staff, family and friends tell me about ANYONE they've either worked with or bought from who did an amazing job selling them. Then, I went to their work and pitched them.

What I found is that awesome sales people are loyal to opportunity, not to employers. If you can show them an opportunity to earn more money and have more flexibility, they're either come on board part time to feel out your opp, or leave their current employer.

In my experience the best way of finding good commission only sales reps is to advertise offline in publications that have similar classified ads. The best reps usually are currently representing other companies.

Using large metro newspapers and specialty-specific trade magazines will target seasoned professionals. Be sure to mention you are looking for experienced commission sales reps, and set up interviews by phone.

Type "hire a rep" into your search engine of choice and you'll get the resource you're looking for. Their's also Craiglist and Backpage where you can put an ad saying specifically what you're looking for. You can also put together a short PDF of your services and get affiliates to give away the PDF and earn commissions. You can also set an affiliate account for your site directly.
