What are the three activities (I know there are many) that you think are the most critical in becoming successful with IM? Activities that are indispensable and that you'd rather outsource.

In my opinion the most critical activity is to sticking to something and following it to the end. Not only in IM but in general that is how success comes.

I totally agree! Most people start to follow one business model such as List building, Affiliate Marketing, Offline, Mobile, SMS, Youtube Video, SEO, etc. And they try it for a little while and then they buy another product and try another model.

The best advice I would give is to stick with one business model and become an expert in it first. Once you have mastered that then branch out and learn another complementary business model.

But first choose how & what you want to do and begin to master that. You will begin to get noticed and followed. And by building a reputation for being a master in one area will probably do more for your business than most other pursuits. You obviously can't become a master by following the flavor of the day.

Someone mentioned it. Three things. You only need one.

    Writing
    Web Design & Related
    Traffic

People argue which is more important. They're all equally important though if I had to, I'd say you could get by without Web design. Of course you can outsource all of these but it's wise to get good with at least one.

I've got writing covered fairly well. Wordpress allows almost anyone to put out a decent site. If you don't know how to work Wordpress just go to Youtube. There's always a decent video available for whatever you need.

Getting traffic isn't hard but, in my experience, it's a tedious, detail oriented task that I really don't like. Without it, nothing happens. Without good content, nothing happens. Pick one. Good luck.

  • If you do all of the above mentioned.... Planning, Taking Action, Product Creation, Graphic Design, Copy Writing, Building a list, Driving Targeted Traffic, Analyzing ROI,.... etc....

but not passionate about what you're doing or selling, then let me know when you reach "success".

    1) traffic
    2) traffic
    3) traffic

I wrote a blog once that said "Traffic is more important than content".

It's my far my most popular piece, and resulted in boatloads of response and hatemail. (lol).

In my opinion, traffic is the MOST important asset.

(My friend Rosignol put it to me like this - look at Nicki Minaj. Her music isn't great but she's filthy rich lol. As a result of TRAFFIC).

    Traffic is everything man.

People get RICH because their homes are TRAFFICKED with that bubbling crude.

People get RICH because their websites are SWARMED with traffic.

Bad musicians get RICH because their music is heavily trafficked.

WarriorForum sold for MILLIONS because of the TRAFFIC.

POOR QUALITY RESTAURANTS get rich because their locations are HEAVILY TRAFFICKED.

It's all about the traffic bro.

I don't care if you give away GOLD BRICKS - without traffic you'll NEVER GIVE ANY AWAY

I am rather allergic to writing copy.

But I love networking with my fanbase.

Product Creation is something that I find very soothing.

    HATE FB advertising, mind you.

    Did I mention product creation?
