Compete with low PR pages from high authority sites?
When doing keyword research for building a product review niche site I often find that the top 10 domains listed for various keywords are pages from sites like cnet, pcmag, techradar and other high authority sites but the specific pages that are listed have low page rankings and low numbers of backlinks. Is it a bad idea to try and compete with these pages since they come from high authority websites despite the low PR and low # of backlinks? My gut says yes but I wanted to get the opinions of some experienced niche site builders. Thanks.
