Keywords or keywords tags Please help

I am getting ready to go through and modify my post for a few of my wordpress blogs. I use the allinoneseo tool for my blog. I also have the plugin for keywords tags. The problem I have is I have done extensive work on seo for my post. For the main three meta title, meta description, and meta keywords. I have found that if I also try adding in keyword tags for my post. These take over the keywords I was using for the post itself. Even though I put more work into find the appropiate keywords for the post to get me the most traffic. Since I started using the keywords tags it has eliminated my search engine traffic.

Should I continue to use these keyword tags and just use the keywords I was originally going to use even though it modifies them or should I just stick with the allinone seo tool and add the keywords there instead. This is going to take me a tone of time to go through all of the 1000 post I have made. However since I am not getting any search traffic other then the traffic going to other articles I have wrote linking back to my post.
