Determining PRICING for your products II

Anyone created their own unique price testing? What's the result of your test? Is it favourable to you?

In connection to previous thread on Determining PRICING for your products
dated November 18, 2008. Our warrior friend Chris PMed me asking the results of my test.
I really forgot it and since I didn't put a date on that promise, I think
no one will blame me except Chris because he remembered it

I think this will be beneficial to other members here.

Here's the link http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-products.html

Here's the story:

I created a simple product before and made a pricing test which is decide your own
price package and offered it as WSO. My intension is to make it as a bonus for my existing product or
to use it as a tool in building my list.

And here's the output:

$47 -4 sales $188

$37 -3 sales $111

$27 -19 sales $513

$17 -23 sales $391

$12 -5 sales $60

$9 -8 sales $72

$7 -15 sales $105

$5 -9 sales $45

$3 -25 sales $75

$1 -126 sales $126

Total Added subscribers: 237
Amount Earned: $1686

It's really amazing because I added more than 200 new buying subscribers
and earned $1686 in less than two weeks.

My analysis: The product is really good to be just a bonus, act as list building tool or priced it at $27.

I really expected that many warriors will pay for only $1 and I was amazed at the result because even they have a chance to pay for only a dollar, they even pay from $17 to $47. Some even pay two times because they really see the value of the product.

It's just a test or an experiment for me to check the response of people in determining the price point of the product during those time.

    Hi ross!

Nandito ka pala. Nice to see you here.

Thanks on the tip about product pricing..it's good to have a basis..

the third best selling item is at 17$ and 27$ it even beat the one sold at 7$ (I've always thought that 7 dollars are best sellers)

    Thanks,

    oMar

Not sure about this, but I expect that a large amount of WSOs are about $17 - $27, or people expect them to be about that price.

Are they judging what you offered with what is around it?

Also, read somewhere, but unfortunately cannot remember where because it was so long ago that $30 was a barrier price.

A barrier price is a price where people are fine to pay below the price and reluctant to pay just above it.

I think that $70 was another barrier price. There are a lot of barrier prices.

It goers to show that we ssould not mind read our potential customers. Test instead and you'll make more money.

I was literally not viewing warrior forum in several days because of facebook's mafia wars It's addictive and un-productive

Any pricing that ends with 7 works to me.

    Hi Ross

Thanks for sharing the results of your pricing test. Just out of interest, how did you present the options to people? Was it a drop-down menu of the pricing options, or did they just type it in to a field?

So would it be possible for someone to pay, say, $6.28... or just the prices you listed?

      Hi Paul,

I use the dropdown ox integrated in my membership script that is not yet launched. I didn't use the enter the amount you want to pay, I just make sure in the dropdown box the $47 tag is the default.

      Best Regards,

      Ross

    hi Ross,

Thanks for sharing. Interesting results. Surprise to see a $27 price point pulling in more sales than a $7 price point. hmmmm .... have to go back and retest my own pricing point.

Btw, is this product that you use in the test an eBook or script or audio/videos?

It's a template Keith. It's really surprising to see this but since I tested it, I know now why.

I was really surprised too but maybe it's because of the salesletter and the quality of product and maybe that is why I converted too many freebie type of people there

If you do it then can you create different pricing and also share it here? Thank you also.
