Clickbank Vendor: Best of these 2 strategies for multiple products?

4 replies
Hi everyone,

I'm just getting started with Clickbank as a vendor, and I would like getting your wise and experienced advises about the best strategy to adopt for a vendor to sell 4 different products on Clickbank (products 1,2,3 are single products, and product 4 would be a package of the 3 single products):

Strategy #1: Having 4 different targeted sites:
www.product1.com, www.product2.com, product3, PRODUCT4

Strategy #2: Having only one site for all the products, made like this:
www.globalsite.com -> the main page is a sales page for product 4( the package of products 1,2,3)
www.globasite.com/product1 -> sales page for product 1
www.globasite.com/product2 -> sales page for product 2
www.globasite.com/product3 -> sales page for product 3
In the case of strategy #2, is it possible to propose 4 different products to promote on the Clickbank platform with the different sub-directories URLs?

Which of these 2 strategies would be the best for you guys?
Thanks a lot,
Regards,
Remy

    That would ultimately depend on the products.. there's no point having completely different products on the one site.. your audience would only be interested in what they came to look at. On the other hand, if they're all within the one niche, then having them on the one site shouldn't be a problem, I think.

    I use Easy ClickMate and a website for each product. Easy ClickMate allows you to sell up to 500 products on one ClickBank vendor account. This means you can pay your $50 vendor fee once and then add another 499 products to your ClickBank account.
    The benefit of this is that after the first product has been approved the other 499 are automatically aproved.

    1. If you use multiple accounts

    Advantages:
    - You can get multiple listings in the market place
    - You have to pay the approval fee for each account (note: if you tell clickbank you already have an approved account, the fee is lower, $29.95 IIRC, for the 2nd account onward)

    Disadvantage:
    - If you have a slow seller, you may get dormant account fees
    - Check issuing fees apply to each account
    - Paid less frequently etc. since each account may take longer to reach minimum payout threshold and customer distribution requirement (CDR)
    - Each account's gravity* remains low
    - Harder to manage

    2. If you use single account:

    Advantage:
    - One approval fee
    - Get paid more often, reach minimum CDR & payout quicker
    - No potential for dormant account fees
    - Gravity* is concentrated in one account.

    Disadvantage:
    - Single marketplace listing

    Note:
    Using option 2, if you use CBMultiLink, EasyClickMate, etc., you can still provide individual product-specific pages for your affiliates to link to.

    * Note: Gravity has no value in itself, but since many affiliates seem to believe gravity is important, a higher value may help you attract more affiliates.
